Potential New API Task Group Work

• API RP 11V6 Upgrade– Would there be interest in upgrading this

document, or in creating a new API RP 11V gas-lift design document, to include:

• Using gas-lift valve models in design• Using dynamic gas-lift design concepts• Other ideas

– If there is interest, would someone be willing to take the lead?



• Possible new API 11V RP for surface-controlled downhole gas-lift equipment– With such equipment, there are significant

concerns for:• Selection• Design• Installation• Operation• Surveillance




• Possible new API 11V RP for gas-lift automation, control, optimization– With such equipment, there are significant

concerns for:• Selection• Design• Installation• Operation• Surveillance




• Possible new API 11V RP for design of production pressure operated gas-lift valves– This is essentially being covered in API RP 11V9– Is a separate RP needed?– If there is interest, would someone be willing to

take the lead?



• Possible new API 11V RP for Dynamic Gas-Lift Design and Analysis– This is being proposed by Juan Carlos Mantecon– He has already lined up several people who are

willing to work on this



• Brainstorm on other possible new API 11V RP’s– If there is interest, would someone be willing to

take the lead?
