Audience
- APG Customers: System or network administrators who are responsible for maintaining APG environments.
- APG Channel Partners: consultants, system architects, integrators and planners who need to use APG.
Prerequisites
- An understanding of basic network protocols. - Familiarity with the relational databases,
operating systems (Unix, Windows)
- Delivery Language: English or French

Detailed Course Outline APG Introduction and Demonstration
- Become familiar with the basic features and capabilities of APG APG Installation
- Learn how to plan, prepare, and configure an APG single or multi-server installation
- Learn how to install and configure an SNMP poller on Windows or Unix - Become familiar with the aggregation and retention processes - Learn how to configure database backups Maintenance and self-monitoring
- Understand APG processes and log files - Run into typical troubleshooting scenarios Using Report Builder
- Learn how to use the Report Builder to modify existing reports and to create new reports.
- Modifying existing reports and creating a simple report from scratch. - Understand the end to end process to create a report: grouping resources
using filters and advanced expands, configuring tables and graphs, creating advanced formulas, setting-up thresholds
- Learn how to configure threshold for sending alerts or executing actions. Collecting external data and MIB variables
- Introduction to the APG data model - Learn how to create new data collection from an import file, a SQL query or
the socket interface
- Understand the SNMP Poller and become familiar with the MIB Browser and SNMP Poller configuration
