Dr. Chen has been actively involved in mixed use rea

estate development, including several Public-PrivatPartnership (PPP) projects, in his 30+ years career

Having been part of the pioneering team 17 years ago othe highly successful Mid Valley City developmen

between Kuala Lumpur City Hall and Mid Valley Cit

Sdn Bhd (a member of the IGB Group of Companies) a

a PPP, Dr Chen is now its Director of ProjecDevelopment. Though qualified as a Professional Civ

Engineer, Dr Chen has moved on to a career with wid

business and management expertise.

Dr. Chens forte is in planning and he is an astut

observer of trends and events. In addition to being

corporate man, Dr Chen is also an entrepreneur; havincompleted a mixed use development in Kuala Lumpur i

the 90s with his personal associates.

Dr Chen earned an honours degree in Civil Engineerin

from the premier University of Malaya, a GraduatDiploma in Business and Management from SEGUniversity College, a MBA from the industry-drive

University of The Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australi

and a PhD in Business Administration from the TarlaState University, a 106-years old institution designated a

a Centre of Excellence in the Philippines.

Dr Chen now divides his time between teaching at thMalaysia University of Science and Technology as a

Industry Professor of Management and completing th

last phase of the mammoth Mid Valley Citdevelopment. Internationally, Dr Chen is a member o

the Urban Land Institute (ULI), USA.
