EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
A number of key areas to address have come through from the members’ survey of 2017. These points include:
• The respondents’ average satisfaction rating of their APAC membership was 3.81 on a scale of 1 – 5.
• The most common reasons for membership were for networking and opportunities to connect with others in the region; as well as for learning and development. (This feedback was similar to the 2015 engagement survey.)
• The most popular APAC offerings were conferences, the APAC newsletter and networking opportunities.
• Members would like more opportunities to collaborate, face-to-face events and flexible timing of webinars. (This feedback was similar to the 2015 engagement survey.)
• The majority of respondents were willing to share their expertise and offerings with the APAC community.
• On a scale of 1 – 5 of how likely were members to renew their membership, the average was 4.46.

METHODOLOGY The data presented in this report was gathered by means of an online survey via Typeform. The survey was live for a period of 21-days with regular reminders on Facebook and emails. A total of 67 participants completed the survey (compared with 44 participants who completed the 2015 survey). This equates to approximately 30% of the 221 APAC members as at April 2017. The questions asked were a mix of open-ended (qualitative data) and multiple choice (quantitative data). No question was compulsory.
RESPONDENTS’ PROFILE
There was a good balance of male and female respondents; with the majority falling between the 41-60year age group. 69% of the respondents had been APAC members between less than one year to 3 years. 75% of the respondents were also members of ICF and 30% were ICF Associate Certified Coaches. The respondents came from 13 countries (including 3 countries in Europe).

QUANTITATIVE DATA
The quantitative data from the survey show that 94% of the respondents joined APAC for networking opportunities; and 70% joined for learning and professional development. 60% joined for an Asia Pacific perspective of coaching. The top rated APAC offerings included conferences, newsletter, networking and monthly calls.
Respondents felt APAC could better engage its members with more opportunities to collaborate; face-to-face events; flexible timing of events and virtual dialogue opportunities. (This feedback is similar to the 2015 Engagement survey.)
