Wolves of Manitoba: A Tale of a Mystifying Species
Wolves are frequently thought of as a mysterious animal which we don’t fully understand. This
presentation aims to shed some light on wolf biology and ecology, especially as it relates to wolves in
Manitoba. Along with the presentation, there will be various items to examine such as wolf pelts and
skulls, both predator and prey.
Daniel Dupont is a wildlife biologist who has studied a variety of species such as caribou, moose and
bears in western Canada. His work now focuses mainly on monitoring and research projects relating
to wolves and moose in eastern Manitoba.
