Great Things To Come

High school and Middle school

youth groups are off to an

amazing fall start. Our high school group have

averaged 50 student and junior high has around 40.

But, as we know, numbers aren't everything!

Our students are finding community,

fun, and most importantly Jesus.

Our high school group is focused on the concept of "thriving" in our relationship

with God, people, and in life.

Our JH is focused on "thriving" during their middle school years. Praise God for the opportunity to plant seeds and see God grow life in so many hearts.

HS RETREAT! November 3-5 our high school students will be "retreating" to Camp Bishop on Lost Lake.

Their weekend will be spent hearing from local Bible teacher and speaker, Josh Burdick. He will challenge the stu-dents to move out from "borrowing faith" to owning their faith. Our weekend will be life changing (and a ton of fun).

How can you support and help? Four Octobers ago, I ran my very first fall retreat. Our church had 18 high

school students attend! Last year we grew to 34 students. This year my hope is to get 45 students from Shelton

FBC! PRAY Please mark November 3rd-5th on your calendar and pray! Pray before the weekend that God would

open doors. Pray for our leaders and speaker.

sEND We have a number of students who come from families with very limited incomes.

Our retreats are kept relatively modest in cost, $70, but it is still out of reach for some of our students. Consider hiring a student or two before the retreat. Or consider partially or fully sponsoring a student for this great opportunity. Donations can be made online at http://tinyurl.com/o4sn92w , dropped off at the church with a note, or talk to Pastor James (he's friendly and fun to chat with).

Thank you to everyone who participated in helping us provide “Windows” for our community to get a look

My husband and I have been attending for a couple years and we really love it. When my husband first started going he wasn't a believer but he loved the preaching so much because of it's relevancy that he finally came to Christ last year and was just baptized this past father's day. The music is a nice mix of modern contemporary praise as well as the old

familiar hymns all played by a live band. They have Sunday school for ages 4 to high school and a great nursery for the little ones. They also have two Sunday morning services which is nice for the late risers.

· September 17 at 2:04pm · Shelton FBC is by far the best church that I have ever attended. It is a no pressure, no expectation environment. Pastor Jake and Pastor Glen never cease to amaze me. They are just real guys, they make you feel at home from the moment you enter the door. The music is always awesome- nothing boring here. They break out the guitars and drums! This church is truly like family to me!! I cannot recommend it more!

John Knight reviewed Shelton FBC — 5 star

· September 17 at 2:12pm · We have attended FBC in Shelton for almost 8 years now. Our past church eroded into the whims of secularism and was blending with the new social norms; walk-ing away from Scripture and our Lord. We found this Church and immediately felt a true correct spirit and a warm welcoming congregation. My wife Renee and I joined the membership and have never looked back. We have been challenged to serve; and, have been blessed as we volun-

teered and shared in the small groups. God surely smiles down on his people here.
