Dear Colleague,

The last century has seen an explosion of scientific thought and discoveries in the field of infertility that have given birth to the new subject of REPRODUCTIVE MEDICINE. The rapid advances in reproductive medicine have many a times made it difficult for the practioners to keep pace with them. It therefore becomes imperative to have CME'S that glean relevant information from this vast and rapidly changing knowledge bank and present it as evidence based medicine that can be clinically useful. This course is designed for the beginners to understand the fundamentals of infertility, and for those already practicing infertility, it offers an opportunity to learn the latest developments in this field. This is also a unique opportunity to attend one of the most prestigious courses in Reproductive Medicine. The faculty includes some of the most renowned infertility & ART experts from Europe, the United States, Middle East and India. There will be ample opportunity for interaction with the speakers and the course is certified by the prestigious Center for Reproductive Medicine at Cleveland Clinic.

It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to this unique symposium and workshop. We hope you will enjoy your experience with us.

SYMPOSIUM - UNDERSTANDING INFERTILITY

This unique symposium is an effort to amalgamate evidence based medicine guidelines from the western countries with the Indian practice. Each lecture by the International faculty will be followed by a synopsis of the prevailing Indian practice on the same subject by an Indian expert. Welcome to New Delhi, the capital of India, the third largest city in the country. The sprawling city divided into Oil Delhi and New Delhi, gives the feel of the old and new, with its ancient historical monuments interspersed with soaring skyscrapers, embassies and bustling commercial complexes. The city, a major travel gateway hub has extreme climates, immense heat waves during summer and chilly coldness during winter.

Delhi is a palimpsest, bearing the complexities, the contradictions, the beauty and the dynamism of a city where the past coexists with the present. Many dynasties ruled from here and the city is rich in the architecture of its monuments. Diverse cultural elements absorbed into the daily life of the city have enriched its character. Exploring the city can be a fascinating and rewarding experience.

The monuments are an inseparable part of the diverse culture of Delhi. The Red fort by Shah Jahan is a wonder in red sandstone. The Jama Masjid is an architectural extravaganza of Shah Jahan, the country's largest mosque. Chandini Chowk (Silver Street) is a vibrant shopping area with the country's best-known wholesale market. The Raj Ghat on the banks of the Yamuna transcends the patriotism in one where the father of our nation rests in peace. The Rashtrapati Bhavan is the official residence of the President of India. The other popular spots include the India Gate, Birla Mandir, Qutab Minar, Bahai's temple and the famous Akshardham temple. India, a land of snake charmers and magicians and the capital of this land of mysteries is Delhi. Delhi is just not a city but a book that narrates the history of India. The city was built and destroyed seven times and has been witness to the various events, which has brought India through the history books. Seven times this city went through the pain of being built and rebuilt.

Today as the capital of India Delhi is the seat of administration and the monuments that tell the saga of a bygone era stand there. These icons are testimony to the grandeur of past and also an attraction for the tourist. With an area of 1483 sq. Kms. Delhi has now attained full statehood. The charm of Delhi has attracted Emperors, Conquerors and poor equally.

It is correctly said that Delhi is a land of 'Dilwalas' or for people with heart. This phrase acquires a true colour when one goes around the lanes of Delhi. Delhi- a window to the kaleidoscope that is India.
