Morning Prayers, Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

*Hymn “I Sing the Almighty Power of God” No. 152

Leader: Awe-some Love, enter our lives People: and open us to the gifts residing deep within us.

Leader: Form us as expectant people, watching for your Presence among us

People: that comes through quiet intuition or thunderous “a-ha’s.”

Leader: Comfort us, we pray, and yet speak boldly to us, as well,

People: as we come fully before you in our worship today.

*Hymn “When We All Get to Heaven” No. 701

** The hymn, “Stand By Me,” is another work by the preacher/composer, Charles Al-bert Tindley. This hymn draws upon the richness of several stories or images from both the OT & the NT, and is prayer-like in calling out to God to “stand by me” when the going gets tough. Praise God that our Savior would never leave us or forsake us!

ANNOUNCEMENTS ● UPCOMING EVENTS

Due to the growth of the Consignment Sale, there will be no West Lawn Wednesday dinner served on March 9th. All other WLW activities will take place as usual, and dinner will return to the Community Center on Wednesday, March 16th. For more information on the sale, go to www.faithfulfriendssale.com.

Keeping the Connection will be preparing care packages for college students today after the 11:10 service. If you would like to make a snack donation, please drop it off in Room 101 of the Community Center before 12:00 pm today.

It’s time to order your Easter Flowers! We have tulips and lilies available, for $7 each. If you would like to order flowers to adorn our sanctuary on Easter, pick up one of the envelopes in the narthex of the church, fill it out and return it to the office by March 14th. Flowers may be picked up at Easter services.

Looking for Instrumentalists! We are considering forming an orchestra to partici-pate in special services and events. This would NOT be an every-Sunday commit-ment, but we would see the orchestra enhancing our music program, sometimes alone and sometimes in accompaniment to choirs, adding to the effectiveness of our worship. So, whatever instrument you play— stringed, woodwind, brass, percus-sion—consider joining us! Please contact Dick Becker ([email protected] or 610-678-5611, Ext. 17) with your interest. Thank you for your consideration.

First Saturday Worship will be held on March 5th at 6:00 pm in the Community Center. Dave Endy will bring the message, “Why Missions, Why Me?” and Pastor Terry will lead us in Communion. Join us for music, testimony, Holy Communion, and fellowship in the Community Center on the first Saturday of every month!

One Great Hour of Sharing: You will find a special One Great Hour of Sharing offering envelope in your bulletin today. This offering helps to lay the foundation of all United Methodist Committee on Relief work by covering the costs of doing business. This means all contributions designated to specific programs can go 100 percent to those programs because UMCOR’s basic expenses are covered.

Our tween group for fourth and fifth graders will meet again this evening at 6:00 PM in the Community Center. Looking forward to another great gathering tonight!

Our annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place at the West Lawn playground, as well as in our Community Center, on Saturday, March 19, beginning at 1:00 PM. We welcome donations of small toys and candy to fill the eggs! Please drop off donations at the Welcome Center or Church Office. Also, if you have not served recently at a West Lawn event, please consider joining this Easter team to help hand out prizes, facilitate a family craft, and distribute snacks. To sign up to serve, contact Kelly Rismiller at [email protected]; 610-507-9141.
