Excellence Awards

As Principal of Cundletown Public School I was invited to

attend a Principal’s forum in Port Macquarie with one

hundred Principals in attendance last week organised by

the Secretary of Education NSW, Mark Scott and Deputy

Secretary School Operations Murat Dizdar. At this forum

three schools were identified from the North Coast and

Tamworth school networks on the basis of excelling results

in academic performance, Cundletown Public was one of

these. I was asked to explain and discuss the strategies our

school has in place that has consistently demonstrated

improving student results. I am very proud of our staff and

community as we continue the great work in our

classrooms providing outstanding learning opportunity for

all our students. I continue to have high expectations for

our students and that quality teaching and learning will

continue at Cundletown Public School every day.

The Taree and district Eisteddfod is being held this year and

our school is again participating in the primary school choir

sections. On Wednesday 12th June the session commences

at 10 am with stage one & two performing. On Thursday

13th the stage three choir is performing at the 10am

session.

A reminder for any student who brings a phone to school it

must leave in the school office when students arrive at

school. It can be picked up from the office at home time.

Our annual school athletics carnival is being held on Friday

14th June at the Taree REC grounds, weather permitting.

Congratulations to all the students who participated in the

ACADEMIC CLASSROOM VISITS TERM 2 2019

Academic Classroom Visits allow parents to experience

and understand what is happening in their children’s

classrooms. Classroom visits serve to strengthen the

bond and consistency between home and school,

families and teachers. Parents receive

background information on what is being taught in

class and what to look for.

The visits provide valuable feedback to teachers and

help parents understand classroom instruction and

expectations. By having a specific date and

preparation, many parents will be able to take

advantage of these opportunities.

Cundletown PS will schedule classroom visits once in

Term 2 and once in Term 3. See timetable below that

will be updated when teachers have finalised their

times.

An invitation from each class will be sent home later in

the term. It would be great to see as many parents as

possible attend these sessions.

Canteen Update

There was a misprint in the School Canteen Menu.

The Twisted frozen yoghurts are $2:00 each not

$1:20.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

There has been a few items that have been

removed from our menu, these are the items as

follows:

* Red Rock Deli Honey Soy chips

* Piranha Snaps Light & Tangy Salsa chips

* JJ’s Snacks Chicken

By removing these items off our menu this has

made our canteen a Great Choice Healthy School

Canteen !!!

Thank you for your continued support.
