July is the month that your BWAExecutive Board will meet todiscuss and set the goals for theupcoming 2018-2019 BWA year. We appreciate member input as wetry to bring valuable programmingand fun social activities. I encourage each of you to help usin that task by taking a few minutes to respond to the surveyrequest sent earlier this month. Only by active membershipcan this great organization thrive and continue to providescholarships to the growing list of worthy recipients. We areproud to be one of the many grass-roots organization thattruly has made a difference in the lives of women over theyears, but we need member participation to continue.
Speaking of scholarships…. this past year, we surpassed ourfund-raising goals by 50% thanks to your generous donationsand participation in the monthly raffles. As a result, we wereable to provide 10 scholarships to deserving candidates atour June year-end meeting. Again, it was a very specialending to our year as each recipient spoke about the impactthat the award had on her personal endeavors. Thanks toall who participated!
August will follow soon and so will the 2018-2019Membership drive. Our fee will remain the same at $300 andincludes the Tower Club monthly meeting lunches.
