Day 1 En route: Depart from USA to Tel Aviv, Israel. Enjoy a hot dinner served aboard the airplane.Day 2 Tel Aviv: Upon arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport, our representative will meet the group and assist us through customs. We will step back in history as we tour Old Jaffa (Joppa) by the Mediterranean, and see modern Tel-Aviv. Dinner and overnight at our hotel by the Mediterranean Sea. (D)Day 3 To Galilee: After a rich, Israeli breakfast, we will leave the hotel and drive north along the famous highway, biblically known as the “Way of the Sea.” We will arrive at Ceasarea, where we will explore the ruins of the Roman and Crusader City. We will see the reconstructed Roman city and Theatre, the walls from the times of the Crusaders and the prison where St. Paul was held in captivity before being sent to Rome. This was also the place where the first gentile was converted to Christianity. As we leave the beautiful walls and moat, we will pass the remains of the Roman horse racing theater, the Hippodrome. We will stop at the amazing remains of the Roman Aqueduct which has been beautifully preserved under the sand dunes for 2000 years. Con-tinue to Mount Carmel to experience the famous Druze hospitality and Falafel Lunch. On to Acre - the best preserved Crusader walled city, lately declared by the “UNESCO” as a World Heritage site. Dinner and overnight in our hotel in Tiberias. (B, L, D)Day 4 Galilee: Wake up to a beautiful morning of clear and fresh mountain air. After breakfast drive to Safed - the Kabbalah town and stroll the alleys of the Old City with its hundreds of Judaica art galleries. Learn about the Jewish Synagogue while visiting the most famous one the synagogue of Rabbi Joseph Caro. Drive to the Golan Heights to Caesarea Philippi and the Ban-yas, one of the main sources of the Jordan River. Walk along the beautiful stream of the Dan, a brook joining the Jordan River. See the impressive 4000 year old wall and gate of the Biblical city of Dan from Abraham’s days. On the way to your Tiberias Hotel, see Kursi, site of the swine miracle. We will finish the day with a stop at Yardenit – the baptismal site by the Jordan River. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias. (B, D)Day 5 Sea of Galilee: After breakfast, begin the day sailing in a wooden boat across the Sea of Galilee, to visit the Holy sites around the lake. Visit Capernaum, the “Town of Jesus,” walk along the ruins of this Biblical village, and see the synagogue where Jesus preached near the house of Peter’s mother-in-law. Drive up to the Mount of the Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon of the Mount. Visit the beautiful mosaic floor at Tabgha, the site of the miracle of the multiplication. On to the new excavated Biblical Magdala with some incredible findings. The ancient church at Magdala has a unique architecture letting you “feel” that you are walking on water. Continue to Tiberias to see the Tomb of Maimonides, one of the most important Jewish spiritual leaders. We will stop at a restaurant for the St. Peter Fish lunch. Drive South to Beit Shean, the largest Archeological site in Israel. We will explore the ancient Roman City with the Amphitheater, the steam baths and reconstructed streets. Contin-ue south along the Jordan Valley. Drive by the worlds oldest settlement, Jericho and view Mt. of Temptations. Drive up the hills of Judea to the Holy City, Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight in our hotel in Jerusalem. (B, L, D)Day 6 Masada & the Dead Sea: After breakfast, we will drive through the Judean Desert to visit Masada, the last stronghold of the Zealots, fighting the Romans. Drive along the Dead Sea (1300 feet below sea level) this is the saltiest body of water in the world. The fortress of Masada was originally built as a magnificent palace for Herod the Great. We will ascend and descend by cable car. You will be impressed by the amazing architecture of the palaces, bath houses, storage rooms, mosaics and the walls. The mountain is surrounded by a magnificent and inspiring view of the Judean Wilderness, the Dead Sea and the Moab Moun-tains. Drive to the Qumran Caves area, where the Dead Sea scrolls were found in 1947. Enjoy some free time to swim, or to be more exact, float, on the amazing waters, a non-swimmers paradise. Before returning to the hotel, we will enjoy a unique dinner experience at Abraham’s Desert Tent and the special Patriarch hospitality with Biblical stories. Overnight in Jerusalem. (B, D)Day 7 Jerusalem: We will begin our pilgrimage in Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic view over the Walls and the Old City. Walk down hill to the Kidron Valley and enter the Garden of Gethsemane, with the most ancient olive trees in Israel. See the Church of All Nations, also called the Basilica of Agony, built by the famous Italian architect, Berlutzi. On to experience hands on archeology at the “Valley Zurim.” Continue to the City of David for an exciting visit to the past. Walk through the most exciting new excavations of Jerusalem from 3000 years ago and walk on the steps leading to the Wailing Wall. See the Pool of Shiloh. Walk on the ancient stones through the tunnels to the Davidson Visitors’ Center. After a typical Israeli lunch, visit the most sacred site in the world for the Jewish faith - the Wailing Wall, which is the remnant of Solomon’s and Herod’s Temple. Touch its ancient stones like millions before you. You can leave a note with your special prayer to God in the stone cracks. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, visit the interesting Ethiopian Church, the Arab Market, and onto the Jewish Quarter. Here visit the Burnt House, which is a priest’s house from second Temple era and see the way people lived 2000 years ago. This is a very preserved house with utensils and some furniture left almost intact. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B, L, D)Day 8 Bethlehem and Herodion: After breakfast, drive to the Herodion Fortress, a man-made mountain created by King Herod as a refuge fortress. A magnificent palace, tremendous fortifications, super engineering work and amazing water solutions all in one place, built to embrace the Tomb of this great builder. The discovery of this tomb was one of the most important archeolog-ical finds of the last years. Drive to Bethlehem to visit the birthplace of Jesus, in the Church of the Nativity. Back to our Jerusa-lem hotel for dinner and overnight. After dinner we will walk the famous pedestrian street of Ben Yehuda with many small shops and coffee houses. You will find a variety of tasty pastries and souvenirs. (B, D) Day 9 Jerusalem (New City): After breakfast, Drive to Ein Karem, the birth place of John the Baptist. A beautiful European style of an old village. Continue to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial for the 6 million Jews killed by the Nazis in Second World War. We will continue to the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls can be seen. Visit the Model of Jerusalem showing the city as it was in Jesus time. After lunch, visit the Bible-land Museum with lots of unique archeological finds found in the different lands mentioned in the Bible. If possible, visit the Israeli Parliament building, the Knesset. End this interesting day with a visit to the unique market of Jerusalem, Mahane Yehuda Market. While strolling its streets, taste the fruits and vegetables, Israel is so proud of. In the evening we will enjoy a special farewell dinner in a local restaurant with presentation of the unique Pilgrim Certificates. Overnight in Jerusalem (if flight departs tonight we will be transfered to airport after farewell dinner.) (B, L, D)Day 10 Transfer to the Ben Gurion Airport: At a determined time drive to Ben Gurion Airport for our flight back to the USA. Arrive back home.

air schedules, etc. This tour is not recommended for those who have mobility limitations since it includes walking on uneven terrain.
