What is mentoring?Mentoring is a personal enhancement strategy through which one person facilitates the development of another by sharing known resources, values, skills, perspectives, attitudes, and proficiencies. Commitment to mentoringParticipants in the program are expected to attend all formal program meetings (4) in addition to allowing time for surveys, socials, and other informal events. Meeting dates and times between mentoring pairs are determined individually at the beginning of the mentoring relationship. Mentors and mentees should expect to allow two to five hours per month for mentoring program events and regular interaction in the relationship. Mentee benefits• Insight into pros and cons of various career options• Increased self-awareness and self- discipline
