    Malham.

    Mountain rescue

Outdoor activities such as Hillwalking is extremely good practice because it keeps you fit and

it is exactly what they will be doing when on the job, also Skiing may be an option because

they may have to get 10 miles down the mountain in order to rescue the person in danger,

these skills will benefit Mountain Rescue and will improve the job in hand.

    RAF mountain rescue

Activities such as Abseiling is a key skill to practice for RAF mountain

rescue, mountaineering will develop your ability during your job, and

also you may take part in some sort of flying maybe get your pilot

licence because this will be extremely effective for your capability within

    the job set to do.

28 December 2011 14:20 - A diver who got into difficulty in a flooded quarry in Gwynedd

has been airlifted to a decompression chamber by an RAF rescue helicopter.

Assistance of services in emergency situations

For example, with Life guard rescue they will only have a certain amount of medical

knowledge so the Ambulance crew would have to take over when they reach a certain stage

within the emergency because paramedics are medically trained more than life guards.

Why do you think these public services hire people with an interest in outdoor activities?

I think these public services hire people who has an interest in outdoor

activities because they generally enjoy being outside, which means all of

these public services consist of being outdoors so not only will the job

benefit but it will also benefit themselves.
