BUSINESS ETHICS

Abstract: Business Ethics has become increasingly important in the wake of recent corporatescandals and reported scientific misconduct. The pressure to succeed has spurred the emergenceof a ‘cheating culture’ (Callahan, 2004). Callahan suggests that ethics – i.e., integrity, honesty andfairness – is losing ground to a market-driven economy and culture that rewards self-interest, self-gratification, and amoral behavior. We need to serve as positive role models to encourage ethicalconduct. Nowhere is this more critical than in the area of research, particularly human subjectresearch. To ensure integrity in research, students and faculty must demonstrate that theyunderstand the ethical and legal ramifications of their work prior to initiating any research. Inaddition to legal requirements, universities now use a variety of creative approaches designed topromote integrity in personal and professional conduct. This paper discusses the most importantissues on business ethics and conduct of students in touch with this topic. Also present in thiswork my think of view about business ethics. Keywords: ethic, business ethic

Abstract: A Manager is the person responsible for planning and directing the work of a group ofindividuals, monitoring their work, and taking corrective action when necessary. For manypeople, this is their first step into a management career. The manager must be familiar with thework of all the groups he/she supervises, but does not need to be the best in any or all of theareas. It is more important for the manager to know how to manage the workers than to knowhow to do their work well.Being a good manager is like putting a puzzle together. The first time you try to fit the piecestogether, it takes a while to get everything to fit smoothly. The second time you attempt to makethe pieces fit, you are a little more familiar with the pattern. Each time after that, it becomesmore and more natural to easily match everything together and have it all turn out right. Themost important pieces that a Manager puzzle should include: communication, skills, experience, responsibility, organization, courage, competence, creativity, active, decided, entrepreneur. All of these techniques combined together make a great manager. In fact, great managers haveten characteristics, and if each of these ten characteristics is developed, you will become a greatleader and a great manager.

LEADER vs. MANAGER

Facultatea de Ştiinţe
Coordonator: lect.univ.dr. BOCA Graţiela
Abstract: Manager and Leader have distinct traits. There are fundamental differences in the way
of thinking and executing things. A manager tries to get maximum benefits of the available
resources. He/She relies on high efficiency and productivity of existing resource. A leader on
other hand has a creative mind. He/She is an inventor and is constantly thinking of changing and
improving the way things are done. He/She can sacrifice efficiency or productivity for some time
to promote creativity and hence finding novel unconditional ways. A leader is more risk savvy
then the usual manager. A leader is always on look out for new ideas. He/She looks at his/her
resources like people, machinery and computer systems in a different way then the manager.
Manager aims to extract maximum value from these resources unlike a leader who aims to get
different more valuable output from the same resources.

Abstract : Every business faces risks that could present threats to its success. Risk is defined as
the probability of an event and its consequences. Risk management is the practice of using
processes, methods and tools for managing these risks. Risk management focuses on identifying
what could go wrong, evaluating which risks should be dealt with and implementing strategies to
deal with those risks. Businesses that have identified the risks will be better prepared and have a
more cost-effective way of dealing with them. Businesses face many risks, therefore risk
management should be a central part of any business' strategic management. Risk management
helps you to identify and address the risks facing your business and in doing so increase the
likelihood of successfully achieving your businesses objectives.

Keywords: turism rural, agroturism

Abstract : Evaluarea continuă a performanţelor economico-financiare ale unei întreprinderi,
