    Loves to win at all cost. A poor

    and boastful winner.

    Sadistically enjoys others hurt.

    Interprets ambiguous or innocent

    acts as purposeful and hostile and

    strikes out at others.

    Have no empathy or compassionfor others (Olweus, 1993).

    Is more likely to get into trouble,

    smoke, drink, and fight (Nansel et

    al., 2001; Ericson, 2001)

    Breaks school/ class rules

    Defiant or oppositional to adults.

    Antisocial or lacks social skills.Has average or above-average

    performance in school. Some

    studies say they may do poorly

    (Schwartz, 2006; Ericson, 2001).

    Bully can be a victim of bullying

    (Crawford, 2002).

    Conclusion

    Parents, teachers, administrators,

    law enforcing authorities and mediatogether with counselling

    professionals can fight the deep

    rooted malignancy. Awareness

    programmes, remedial classes, peer

    mediation and project works that

    foster friendship can be employed to

    foster values of human dignity, livingwith diversity and the much needed

    empathy to eradicate bullying.References:
