THE ALMS HOUSE

This is a non-profit organization that I never knew existed in the Hope Mills, NC area. It also owns a donation shop for clothing just across the street from it.

The volunteers all spend their time helping the lower income families in our community. I felt a sense of warmth knowing that they take the time to take care of others. It made me feel blessed.

The Liberty Christian Academy my son goes to, took the time to do this. The driving force that started the donations project was led by the High School Cheer leaders, which help to collect the donations. I knew they did projects, but not like this one.

Summary

Anyone in the local area, it is available to help the lower income families

Anyone wanting to volunteer can help them package food, especially for the kids that need it or can’t get a healthy food source

For an old run down house, you would think that it wouldn’t be able accomplish what they do on a weekly basis, but manage to help others when others can’t help themselves
