What is PULSE? Partnership for Undergraduate Life Sciences Education
• Initiated as as result of a collaboration between NSF, NIH/NIGMS, and HHMI
• Charge: to catalyze change in life science education at the departmental level using the recommendations in Vision and Change in Undergraduate Biology Education: A Call to Action
OUTLINE• Overview of PULSE programs and resources• Hands-on experience with PULSE tools
– Evaluate the status of your department– Target a goal for transformation– Develop a plan for implementing transformation
• Identify opportunities for regional networking and resource sharing
