CHRISTIAN HAS ITSELF THE MEANING OF HAVING THE ANONTING OF CHRIST

CHRIST IS PROCLAIMED BY JOHN THE BAPTIST TO BE THE BAPTIZER IN THE HOLY SPIRIT.

I BAPTIZE YOU WITH WATERE BUT HE WILL BAPTIZE YOU WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. MARK 1:8

THE NECESSITY OF THE ANOINTING WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

Whoever claims to abide in Him must walk as Jesus walked.

--- 1 John 2:6

Without the ANOINTING of the HOLY SPIRIT, we cannot walk like Jesus.

HOW CAN WE LOVE LIKE JESUS WITHOUT THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?

1 John 3:16

16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.

NEW BIRTH – NEW NATURE, RENEWED MIND - NEW LIFE

RESTRAINS THE FLESH ; KILLS THE FLESH – GIVES SPIRITUAL LIFE (ZOE)

Spirit, he says, comes from Christ, who has given us his Holy Spirit; the Holy Spirit makes us spiritual and restrains the flesh. The Holy Spirit assures us that we are God's children no matter how furiously sin may rage within us, so long as we follow the Spirit and struggle against sin in order to kill it. - Martin Luther
