“Expect the Extraordinary” is the theme of our conference wherein eminent persons in all sub-specialities of Orthopaedics, both National and International will be sharing their treasure of knowledge. Special attraction is Scientific Writing Supported by Indian Journal of Orthopaedics (IJO), Cadaver Workshop, which will be of immense value to young surgeons, along with live surgeries. A dedicated hall for paper presentations from postgraduates is also planned.

SCIENTIFIC WRITING

A first of its kind in the history of OSSAPCON and also

in South India, the Scientific Writing course is being

set up with the support of Indian Journal of

Orthopaedics (IJO) for the benefit of PGs and

Consultants with academic interest. Editors of Major

Indian Orthopaedic Journals like the IJO and the

Journal of Clinical Orthopaedics and Trauma (JCOT),

Prof. Lalit Maini and Prof.Raju Vaishya, will grace the

course along with members of Editorial Board of IJO

to share their knowledge and experience and talk on

topics that include tips on writing and reviewing

papers, presenting on podium, choosing thesis,

passing exams, Converting thesis to publication, tips

of fellowships etc.
