ABOUT GIFTABLED FOUNDATIONGiftAbled Foundation was formed in 2013 as a Public Charitable Trust. GiftAbled is a thought that we all can live with dignity. People withDisability may not fit into typical societal norms or silos due to their physical limitation. However, that should not be considered a reason to portray them fit only for charity. They can and will contribute towards building a just, sensitive and healthy society. Let us start looking at their Abilities.

GiftAbled strives to create an ecosystem of like-minded individuals and collectively build a disabled friendly society. We aim to empowerindividuals with disabilities across crucial aspects of their life, and have designed several services with this aim in mind.

From the desk of Trustee’s

GiftAbled has always worked on the premise that collaboration and reaching out to larger community can create deeper impact rather than working in silo. This year was all about building associations that could be win-win for all the stake-holders. Our first Early Intervention Center was kick started at Tumkur. This pro-vided ray of hope to mainstream children with development delay via therapies and aids/ appliances.

As we continue to grow our goal to provide relevant skills to beneficiaries is critical for the upliftment of Persons with Disability. That said we have had multiple work-shops including TTT on making of different products. Due to such engagements we could reach out to beneficiaries across country. Irrespective of disability whether physical or intellectual creation of self-employment always leads to cas-cading impact. It is not just Persons with Disability but even their care takers that start nurturing the thought of better life. In years to come GiftAbled will conduct longer duration workshops in remotest areas of our country. In over half a decade journey we have learnt and understood the larger challeng-es with respect to disability. Goal is to speed up the process of change and reach out to interiors of India. We at GiftAbled believe that societal and financial issues associated with disability has to be dealt comprehensively. Hence we will continue to focus on Health, Education and Livelihood of Persons with Disability to bring change on the ground.

I on behalf of GiftAbled Team thank all our volunteers and well wishers. We have just begun our journey and without your love and support we could not have achieved so much in such a short period of time.

Happy Inclusion!!

Vlner EggmnWe need a massive number of volunteers to change the fortune of our country. From my experience of a decade and a half in the sector of working with thousands of volunteers, I have seen impact being created through volunteers each and every single day. It could be as simple as bringing a smile on someone's face to changing someone's life for good. Volunteers play a role of a Guide, Mentor, Friend, Guardian, Scribe, Dance partner, Child for an elderly at an old age home, a Counsellor or someone who is just there to listen. I have seen many volunteers who changed their profession aftervolunteering. In fact, half of team members at GiftAbled family have once started their journey as a volunteer. More power to all thevolunteers who are passionately devoting their time and utilising their skills in the best possible way.

Happy Volunteering and look forward to more and more people coming forward to volunteer.
