The design is conceived as the interweaving of two themes derived from the surrounding Killesberg mountains: an organic flowing landscape as the soft built elements and sharply edged quarries inspire the hard ele-ments. The dynamic landscape is structured by a grid which bears educational and residential buildings, ateliers and sport facilitites. The urban scheme stretches into and influences the surrounding hilly relief, where grou-ped trees and paths subtly transform the landscape.

On a 297 ha site area near St. Petersburg, an extension of the Military Medical Academy is being created with high-grade exterior facilities. Amidst an artificial lake and wetland, the landscaped campus serves as a recreational precinct. At the same time, the site‘s engineered ecosystems compensate for the ecological impact of the facilities.

The Masterplan for a new center expands the Cantabrien capital Santander with a mixed district consisting of business, cultural facilities and housing.
