OUR MISSIONDowntown Sioux Falls, Inc. is a non-profit corporation committed to continually upgrading and enhancing the vitality of downtown by providing excitement, activity and a positive image within the community through promotions, design, economic development and public relations.

OUR VISIONDowntown is the heart of our city and belongs to resident and visitor alike. Our goal is to make downtown a place for anyone and everyone to work, live, shop, eat, visit, enjoy and experience the arts, culture and other festivals in a manner that is family friendly and environmentally sensitive.

We devote our collective vision and voice to an array of programs to ensure our downtown district is safe, clean, accessible and vibrant.

This year, major new developments were announced including the renovation of Raven Industries and a new Hilton Garden Inn along

the Greenway. Downtown housing is near capacity, and we will partner with the city and developers to begin exploring potential locations for additional residential units. Other notable accomplishments include the update of our strategic plan that will guide the evolution of DTSF for years to come. In the year ahead, we will launch several new programs all of which will continue to advance the vitality of downtown.

This annual report is designed to provide highlights of this year’s numerous accomplishments. It has been an honor and privilege to be a part of this organization and to play a role in the continuing growth of Downtown Sioux Falls. THANK YOU FROM DTSF LEADERSHIPTESTIMONIALS“Downtown Sioux Falls has been the catalyst for positive change in our city’s core area. Under its leadership, we have seen the rebirth of the heart of Sioux Falls. Thousands of people annually come to our city’s downtown to work, shop, live, eat, play and enjoy a multitude of cultural, family or fun activities. Our downtown is a significant asset in attracting new businesses and jobs to our entire community. None of this would be possible without the ongoing efforts of Downtown Sioux Falls, Inc.”

-Bill Peterson, CNA Surety

“Membership in DTSF has been a great business decision. Working as a group to promote downtown Sioux Falls is so much more powerful than a single voice, and knowing what other business owners are experiencing and how they are handling issues makes running my business easier!”

-Terri Shuver, Sticks & Steel

“Our membership in DTSF is the best investment we can make for our business, because without them we would have no business. DTSF has been the driving force in the continuing renewal of our downtown, and the dramatic progress we have made in the last twenty years is testament to that.”

-Jeff Danz, Zanbroz Variety “First National Bank is committed to our customers and our community. Sponsoring the DTSF organization has increased our exposure throughout the community and has helped provide the resources necessary for DTSF to be a full-time advocate of a healthy and vibrant downtown business district.”
