2-1-1 HotlineFree crisis counseling along with useful information and referral to over 4,600 community resources. Suicide prevention and support for at-risk individuals and their families. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Community EducationEducational programs and workshops that focus on emotional wellness for organizations, employee groups, volunteers and professionals.
Trauma Recovery ServicesSpecialized trauma counseling and therapy for children, adults and families who have experienced abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, recent loss of a loved one or any type of emotional trauma.
Sexual Assault ServicesForensic examinations, crisis counseling and advocacy for victims of sexual assault. We also offer free, fast and confidential STD/HIV testing.
Family StabilizationFinancial case management and consultation for families with children regarding rent, mortgage or utilities along with food, shelter and safety needs.
TransCare Medical TransportationTransCare is an emergency mental health and basic life support ambulance service. Available 24 hours a day by dialing 9-1-1.
Travelers AidTravelers Aid provides transportation assistance and crisis intervention services to families and individuals at Tampa International Airport who are in crisis, standed or disconnected from their support systems.
Telephone ReassuranceVolunteer-driven phone calls and daily safety checks for low-income, socially-isolated elderly and disabled adults.
Child and Family SafetySchool-based, violence prevention and intervention program which is created to address the needs of students and their families who have been victims of violence, abuse or neglect.

CORPORATE PARTNER PROFILE: AAA Auto Club South
When it comes to partnership, AAA Auto Club South certainly delivers. Presents, that is. For the 2011 holi-days AAA adopted a Crisis Center family who had been struggling financially and also had a child in counseling. The family caught the hearts and attention of the AAA staffwho stepped up to fulfill all of the wishes on the family’s Christmas list. Several staff members, including CEO, John Tomlin, arrived at the families home with an entire truck load of goodies, including two bicycles, clothing, toys and a complete a washer and dryer set. Many of the items were provided by AAA staff who donated their holiday gift cards to purchase items for the family. AAA Auto Club South is an extraordinary example of how our Corporate Partners go above and beyond.
The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay could not serve over 185,000 people a year without the support of volunteers who make the mission of bringing help, hope and healing to our community possible.
Volunteers have served over 17,602 hours at a value of $211,352.

VOLUNTEER PROFILE:Tampa Bay Rays
Employee Community Outreach Team
It’s not everyday you see an entire crew in yellow and blue pull up at 7:30 AM ready to do some digging! But that’s exactly what the Tampa Bay Employee Community Outreach Team did on their day of service at the Crisis Center. With a truck load of mulch and shovels, the ECOT team remade the Crisis Center parking lot with new shrubs and plants. They also built two large benches to place on either side of the front-entrance for client comfort.
While half of the team was busy outside, the rest were busy inside, reorganizing closets for better storage space and painting a mural of Raymond for the children in the playroom. The crew worked all day with smiles on their faces. The one day that the team spent with us created a lasting impression with with very grateful staff and clients.

WOMEN IN ACTION
Began in 2011, Women in Action is a philanthropic group of extraordinary, passionate women who have come together in support of the mission of the Crisis Center.
Women in Action members learn about tough issues facing our community and what they can do about it. The four educational luncheons this year featured topics on “crisis” including: child abuse, human trafficking, and suicide prevention.
Gifts of Women in Action support various Crisis Center services and special projects. At the last meeting of the year, Women in Action members decide where their money goes based on presentations given on the many services offered.

Founding Member: $1,000 commitment annually. Founding members consisted of all those who made financial commitments in 2011.
Junior Member:$500 commitment annually. Available for women up to 30 years of age.

This year, $30,000 was donated to fund projects in two Crisis Center areas:
Sexual Assault Services:$15,000 to purchase a new colposcope, necessary to sexual assault examinations.$5,000 for marketing efforts to spread aware-ness and education about human traffick-ing.
Trauma Recovery Services:$10,000 to fund treatment for families and therapy supplies.

CUP OF COMPASSION
EVERY CENT COUNTS
Nearly 500 community-minded individuals filled the A La Carte Pavilion ballroom with a single purpose -- to share their compassion and concern over a cup of coffee. For those who attended, the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay’s 9th Annual Cup of Compassion Breakfast was an unforgettable experience. The speakers, powerful video presentation and a personal testimonial from a Family Stabilization client, Erica Robinson, all contributed to a moving and memorable morning. More than 45 dedicated community leaders shared their support by serving as Table Captains, hosting their friends, colleagues and others at their tables. Dex Imaging and the Doyle family offered a challenge gift of $25,000 and 35 individuals made the financial com-mitment to join the Sustainer Society. Sustainer Society members make a five-year commit-ment starting at $1,000 per year. At the end of the hour, nearly $400,000 was raised for the Crisis Center’s ongoing programs and services to help those in need. This unbelievable compassionate outpouring of support will help sustain our mission to provide help, hope and healing for people facing serious life challenges or trauma. We are grateful for the gifts, both big and small. We thank you for your continued support and invite you to join us next year on February 7 for our 10th Annual Cup of Compassion Breakfast which promises to be our biggest and best fundraising event ever.

ACCOUNTABILITY.The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay has a long history of adhering to high standards of accountability and transparency. Our financial statements are audited annually and are available upon request. We also file IRS Form 990 annually which is posted on our website.
The Crisis Center’s management is committed to maintaining accurate and reliable financial records, in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America. We follow the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s Audit and Accounting Guide for Not-For-Profit Organizations to ensure that our financial statements conform with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The Center is also in compliance with the requirements described in the U.S. Office of Management and Budget Circular A-133 on our federally funded programs.
The independent CPA firm of Rivero, Gordimer and Company, P.A. conducts an annual audit of the Crisis Center. In fiscal year 2009-2010, our auditors reported that the agency’s financial statements were fairly and accurately presented. The annual audit is reviewed by the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay’s audit committee and approved by the board of directors.
The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay’s system of checks and balances ensures that it operates in a sound fiscal manner. The organization’s operating budget is reviewed an approved by the finance and executive committee, as well as the board of directors.
