Volunteers of America, Dakotas is a nonprofit, spiritually based organization that reaches out to empower people of all ages to become healthier, self-sufficient, productive members of their communities. We fulfill our mission by helping people help themselves in four service areas:

• Guiding people with behavioral health needs• Uplifting children, youth and families• Strengthening those who struggle with homelessness• Supporting individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities

1896 Society1896 Society celebrates those who demonstrate a financial commitment to the future of our organization. Reflecting the belief that a dedicated group of individuals can make a special contribution to helping people for many years to come, 1896 Society brings together individuals with leadership, ability, experience, and influence to support Volunteers of America, Dakotas’ mission with their major financial gifts

Rise & ShineAt Rise & Shine, our annual breakfast and fundraiser, local businesses, community leaders and individuals come together to celebrate the mission of Volunteers of America, Dakotas and to learn about the people and programs that help create a bright, positive change in the lives of so many. At our 2016 event 790 people filled nearly 80 tables and raised $297,630.
