Rationale: Why Leaders connectedto Corporate Responsibility?
• Business is a primary means for all economic and development transactions in our society and it needs to be accountable.
• A coherent understanding of Corporate Responsibilityand its appropriation in young people will lead to lesser enviromental harm, employee dissatisfaction, corruption, better business management, better resource allocation in present & future.

• AIESEC IN MENA became an official growth network

• Issues addressed on a regional level that aim at
contributing to the sustainability and growth of the
Region
- Talent imbalance (Arab exchangers Project)
- Ill suited to the global economy & lack of global
perspective (Bridging The Gap Project and MENA

Objectives of The CR project in AIESEC
Amman
Indirect Impact :
• Increase awareness about CR among members ,
companies and the society in general
• Build a network of stakeholders interested in CR and
share expertise
Direct Impact:
• Bring Interns to work in Jordanian companies and help
in the implementation of CR
• Learning events around the topic of CR.
Achievements And Research Findings
• Conducted a 2 month Research to test awareness on CR and current business practices
CR understanding
• 55% of the companies chose the following answer as their number one preference to what they believe CSR is:
CR represents businesses seeking to minimize their negative environmental and social impact and at the same time, maximize their positive impact.
Business case for CR
• 45% think CR can benefit an organization, enhance its reputation, productivity and quality but cannot provide them with financial benefits
• 15% think CSR can bring financial and other benefits
• 10% think that CSR can be an effective means of PROFIT

• There is a worrying GAP between the skills, values
and the knowledge of Corporate Responsibility
required by managers and leaders & it’s functioning in
young people. AIESEC aims to bridge this gap.
• Businesses Don’t have a clear understanding of the
benefits CR can bring
• Lack of awareness on Corporate Responsibility among
young people
• Lack of confidence in the active role young people can
play in driving CR in the MENA region
