ANNUAL AWARDS Medium Project Award entry Melbourne, Leicestershire Melbourne Water Treatment Works High Lift Pump Sump Bypass In AMP6, Severn Trent Water have adopted a new ‘manufacturing process’ approach to review the effectiveness of its Water Treatment Works (WTWs). This approach highlighted the High Lift Sump as a single point of failure at Melbourne WTW, which was subsequently assessed as an unacceptable risk to the business. A fast track approach to the delivery of the project to address this risk, has required significant collaboration, innovation, project management and an overarching drive to deliver within the project team.
