Guests will learn and apply the creative system to their life by eliminating the “reactive” response and embracing the “creative” response to many aspects of their lives through color and design with a paint brush. YOU’VE ARRIVED!
RHS room rates per room, per night are as follows:
$179 for a room with a single king bed, $189 for a room with two queen beds, and $199 for a Griffin Suite,
plus applicable state and local taxes in effect at the time of check out. Subject to availability. Group rates will apply three days prior to, and three days following the dates of the Convention.
RHS attendees will be making reservations directly with the hotel using Passkey online group reservations. Individuals must identify themselves as part of Red Hat Society to receive the special group rate for single or double occupancy. All reservations must be guaranteed with a deposit for the first night’s guestroom and tax charge. If reservation is guaranteed to a credit card, a
ROOM RESERVATIONSfirst night’s guestroom and tax charge, per guestroom, will be billed immediately to the cardholder’s account. The hotel will not hold any reservations unless secured by one of the above methods.
A dedicated booking website has been created for RHS attendees so our guests will be able to make, modify and cancel their hotel reservations online, as well as take advantage of any room upgrades, amenities or other services offered by the hotel.

The hotel allows individual attendees the right to cancel their guestroom reservations without penalty up to twenty-four (24) hours prior to the attendees’ scheduled arrival date.
The hotel shall charge the individual attendee one (1) night’s guaranteed guestroom rate plus tax for cancellation within twenty-four (24) hours of the scheduled arrival date or failure of the individual to check-in on the scheduled arrival date. Any remaining nights of a “no-show” reservation will be canceled. It is policy to require a credit card or cash deposit for incidental charges.
The hotel accepts most major credit cards.
The check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM. Each guestroom must have at least one registered guest 21 years of age or older.
The room reservations must be made by April 4, 2021.
RHS has negotiated complimentary internet access in all guest rooms.

Q: HOW DO I REGISTER?A: Registering for the Convention is easy with our online registration
process. You are given the option to pay by credit card or by check, but
registrations paid by check are not processed until the check is received.
Q: WHAT DOES MY CONVENTION FEE COVER?A. Breakfast on Friday, breakfast on Saturday, dinner event on
Saturday, Champagne Breakfast on Sunday and various activities
listed on the agenda such as: The official REDuation and Coronation
ceremonies, Gutsy Gal & First Timers Meet and Greet, The International
Gathering (if attending from outside the USA), A Pinkie Party, the Dive
in Movie, shopping at Hat District, a photo session with Exalted Queen
Mother Sue Ellen Cooper & Esteemed Vice-Mother Linda Murphy and
much more! There is an additional cost for optional tours, and the Let’s
Flamingle Social.
Q: WHAT ARE THE PARKING RATES AT THE HOTEL? A: Self-parking (not valet) is included in your room rate.
Q: WHAT ABOUT RED HATTERS WITH DISABILITIES? A: The staff at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa is
committed to ensuring that they meet and exceed all of the
requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act. The hotel staff is
trained to accommodate guests with special needs, so that all guests,
including those with disabilities, are able to have an enjoyable and
safe stay. At the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa, they want to
make sure all their guests are able to take advantage of every activity
the hotel has to offer. For more information, please call the general
manager of the hotel.
Q: DO I HAVE TO STAY AT THE HOST HOTEL FOR THE RED HAT SOCIETY ONSITE CONVENTION?A: It is highly recommended that you stay at the host hotel for a more
complete Convention experience, but it is not required.
Q: WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY CONVENTION REGISTRATION?A: Onsite Convention registrations may be cancelled until December 31,
2020 for a full refund of your registration fee, minus a $50 processing
fee.
IMPORTANT: The Red Hat Society is not responsible for refunds of any
fees or expenses outside of the Convention registration fee. Refunds for
hotel reservations need to be handled through the hotel and are subject
to those hotel’s refund policies. All other refunds are subject to the
refund policies of the companies involved, including but not limited to
airfare, transportation, car rentals, etc.
Q: WILL THERE BE MERCHANDISE FOR SALE AT THE CONVENTION? A: Yes, the Hat District will be at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort
& Spa in the Springs Ballroom Thursday through Saturday.
Q: CAN MY HUSBAND/MALE COMPANION ATTEND THE CONVENTION EVENTS?A: No, however, they may certainly stay in the hotel and spend time
with you when you are not at Convention events.

The Red Hat Society believes that every event deserves its own shopping
district! After all, it is our sport of choice!
You can look forward to a group of carefully selected vendors showcasing
their best product lines, specifically with Red and Pink Hatters in mind! Unlike
a traditional shopping experience, The Red Hat Society knows how to turn the
Hat District into an activity playground for Hatters! With a full line up of fun
activities, look forward to plenty of time to dance and play all while enjoying
the ultimate shopping experience.
Take advantage of the available official event merchandise when you pre-order it with
your Convention registration. Items may sell out and may not be available on-site. All
items that are pre-ordered will be available for pickup at the Convention and include:

REGISTRATION POLICIES
Registration and Cancellation: per

PAYMENTS, POLICIES, AND PROCEDURES**All cancellations must be in writing via email to [email protected] or
by US mail. Cancellations by phone will not be accepted.
REFUND/CANCELLATION FEES
• Cancellations received by December 31, 2020, will be charged a $50 cancellation fee
• Cancellations received between January 1st through March 15, 2021, will be charged a $100
cancellation fee
• Cancellations received March 16, 2021 and later will forfeit 100% of convention fee
The Red Hat Society is delighted to offer Hatters a payment plan option. There is a $50 non-refundable, handling fee for this request and independent of the cancellation fee, should you choose to cancel your reservation or be cancelled due to non-payment. Payments are structured monthly. Payments will ONLY be processed on the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday the funds will debited on the following Monday.If interested just register online and mark “Pay by Check” then drop us a note at [email protected] that you are interested.
AN EXAMPLE OF THE PAYMENT PLAN:In June, you registered for the Convention only: $450 Your first payment of $50 plus $50 non-refundable handling fee will be processed in August. Subsequent payments will be $50 Monthly for 8 Months.
ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY APRIL 15, 2021.
Please remember the following are your responsibilities: 1. The funds must to be in your account on the 15th of each month. If you do not have the funds
on the 15th we will not notify you but we will process a double payment the following month along with a $15 processing fee. If they once again are not available you will be given the option to pay in full along with a $30 processing fee or be cancelled.
2. If your credit card number changes for any reason it is your responsibility to notify us. If you don’t contact us with new credit card information within 2 months you will be given the option to pay in full or be cancelled. If your credit card declines, a fee of $15 will be assessed.
3. If you are paying by check the check must reach Hatquarters by the 15th of each month. If your check is returned for NSF, you will be charged a $15 processing fee.
4. If you do not send a check for 2 consecutive months you will be given the option to pay in full or be cancelled.
5. Minimum monthly payment is $50 per month.
6. Any changes or updates to credit cards must be paid by the 10th of each month in order to process by the 15th of the month.
7. Membership must be current during the registration period and the convention dates. Membership renewals can take place at the time of monthly convention payments.

We are pleased you will be joining us at our 2021 Red Hat Society International Convention in Palm Desert and that you will be taking advantage of our payment plan offer. Please read the terms of agreement as we have added additional charges for event changes, returned checks and credit cards issues, etc. These costs will help to cover the processing fees. It is important that you carefully review what you select for your event choices to avoid additional fees.
We look forward to another great event at “Flamingo Fling” in Palm Desert, California.
Please read our new terms below and return your acknowledgement to us either by USPS or email events@
redhatsociety.com. You will need to sign and agree to our terms before we can begin your Payment Plan.
1. There is a $50 non-refundable fee, which will be taken as soon as you return this acknowledgement.
2. The funds must to be in your account on the 15th of each month. If you do not have the funds on the
15th we will not notify you but we will process a double payment the following month along with a $15
processing fee. If the funds are once again not available you will be given the option to pay in full (full)
along with a $30 processing fee or be cancelled.
3. If your credit card number changes for any reason it is your responsibility to notify us. If you don’t
contact us with new credit card information within 2 months you will be given the option to pay in full
or be cancelled.
4. If you are paying by check the check must reach Hatquarters by the 15th of each month.
5. If your check is not received by the 15th of each month for 2 consecutive months you will have the
option to pay in full or be cancelled.
6. If your check is returned for NSF, account closed etc. you will be charged a $15 processing fee. If
you have more than one check returned by your bank for any reason you will be required to pay the
processing fees and pay by money order each month.
7. Minimum monthly payment is $50 per month or more depending on what you registered for.
8. Any changes or updates to credit cards must be made by the 10th of each month in order to process by
the 15th of the month. If received after the 10th of the month the change will take effect the following
month.
9. Membership must be current during the registration period and the convention dates. If membership
becomes expired we will re-new your membership using the credit card number on file for payments
before taking the monthly payment.
10. Any and all transfers of registration will be charged a $25 processing fee for each occurrence.
11. Any additional fees will not be refunded if your registration is cancelled.
Remember we will not begin your payments until this is acknowledged and returned.
