Season of Thanks

During the season of Pentecost, Calvary will be giving thanks for its past; its present; its future. We will be thanking groups and individuals and most of all God for the blessings bestowed on Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church. We are calling this a Season of Thanks!

During this Season of Thanks each of us, daily, need to remember things and people for which and whom we are thankful. Even on those days when everything seems to be falling apart… we can be thankful that God is there to catch us and protect us …. just like God always does!

Over 100 people attended the Great Seal of Ohio Band concert on Sunday, July 20. Many of the people and many of the 42 band members came down to the fellowship hall after the concert for the ice cream social. About 8 gallons of ice cream were served with flavors including vanilla, chocolate, death by chocolate, peanut butter, black raspberry and other flavors and toppings including homemade hot fudge! Special thanks to Brenda Segelhorst for once again providing outstanding decorations and a great set up. Thanks also to Brenda and Steve Dardinger, Helen and Jim Schneider, Kay and Mike Northrup, Bob Austin, Karla Hanson, Brenda and Jim Segelhorst, Charlotte Spahr, Jaqui Patterson, Diane Diekroger and everyone else who helped set up, serve, clean up or 'do whatever'! This is a great event to showcase the wonderful facilities that Calvary has and a great way to share with community...and Share God's Grace!

Thanks to Everyone

Stewardship

Stewards of TimeWe are busy people! God has given us 24 hours in each day to live, work, serve and praise. How are we using our time? How might we best steward the time that God has given to us, as individuals and a congregation, to love God and our neighbor?
