AFS HOST FAMILIES NEEDED FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS

Would you like to learn about another country without leaving home? AFS (American Field Service) needs families to host students for the next school year. Students come from 50 countries and become a member of your family. The exchange is a chance to learn about other countries and their customs. By sharing information about other cultures, AFS hopes to promote better understanding and world peace. Preparation for First Communion classes begins Sunday, June 15* during the Sunday School hour at 9:30 a.m. and continues each Sunday through July 6.

Thank you to all the volunteers that helped with the Free Community Meal cookout last month. It was great weather and we served a lot of food.

Community Meal

With your support Calvary served the needs of a number of people and helped make their day a little brighter.

The next scheduled Community Meal is the last part of July. We will announce the exact Sunday once it has been firmed up. Please plan on attending and helping serve our downtown community.

SUMMER TIME!Summer is here and all that goes with it. We need to keep the outside of our property looking good. Mowing continues every week. Along with mowing and trimming we have potted flowers that will need watering everyday and flower beds that need weeded and mulched. We are looking for people that like to get their hands dirty to help us out. You can volunteer for any of these jobs on-line from our website.
