Anniversary of Singin’ in the Rain Movie Premiere

Hailed as one of the greatest musicals of all time, Singin' in the Rain is a lighthearted trip
back to an era of glamour and style. A classic film for all ages, Singin' in the Rain premiered
when many of Jamestown's residents were teenagers or young adults. This musical-based theme
will remind many of the residents of their younger, possibly more light-hearted days filled with
dancing, music, and laughter. We'll commemorate the anniversary of the musical's premiere with
a red carpet celebration, fabulous food, and entertainment. Residents will have a chance to pull
out their fur and pearls or favorite tie and jacket for an evening of indulgence and enchantment.
Decorations
Residents will wear their best dress giving the event a classy tone
They will enter the dining area on a red carpet
Greeted by an announcer introducing each resident
A photographer will capture the red carpet moments and other moments of the evening
Table toppers will be the classic white cloth with a center piece vase and rose with
printed out quotes from the song “Moses Supposes”
Large movie stills and posters will decorate the walls
Servers will dress up in classy attire for servers
Entertainment
There will be entertainment throughout the course of dinner. This will include:
Tap dancers
Singers
Actors
Music from a Band
Photographer
Movie will be played after dinner
Pre- event advertising
Advertising will be in-house
Promo Posters will be posted on the walls
There will be mention of it in the news letter
Individual invites will be delivered to the resident’s doors
The movie will be playing the night before
Table topers will advertise the event the week before
Servers will be knowledge and available to answer questions

These slow roasted tomatoes are as red and rich as the red carpet you walked in on. While the stars soak up the
praise of their adoring fans, we provide a crusty baguette to soak up the garlicky sauce.

Don Lockwood’s Lemon Chicken Pasta
This delicious pasta is as light and fresh as Don Lockwood is on his dancing feet. Penne pasta, shredded chicken,
and spinach shine in a lemon artichoke pesto sauce.
Premiere Prime Rib
This Academy Award worthy dish is fit for a Hollywood king. Indulge in a perfectly prepared prime rib served with
horseradish mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus.

Cathy’s Chocolate Cake
Cathy may have thrown her dessert in Lena Lamont’s face, but you wouldn’t dream of letting one morsel of this
cake go to waste. Decadent chocolate layers, a bittersweet chocolate filling, and rich buttery frosting will have
you calling for an encore.
Cosmo’s Pavlova Cloud
Layers of meringue, cream, and strawberries as light as Cosmo's light-hearted style. This pavlova may not make
you laugh, but you might discover new found appreciation for those fluffy clouds in the sky.

ROASTED TOMATOES IN OIL _________________________________________________________
Yield: 50 portions Portion: 2/3 cup
Oven: 250 °F Bake: 4 hours
Ingredient Amount Procedure
Canned whole plum tomatoes in juice,
halved lengthwise
Olive Oil

Pour 2/3 cup olive oil into each of 4 full-size hotel
pans.
Arrange 4 lb of tomatoes in each pan, cut side up.
Divide remaining sauce equally into the 4 pans.
Pour 2/3 cup of remaining olive oil into each of the
four full-size hotel pans.
Dried oregano
Sugar
Salt
1/2 cup
2 tbsp
4 tsp
Sprinkle each pan with 1/8 cup oregano, 1/2 tbsp
sugar, and 1 tsp salt
Bake 1 hours.
Using a spatula, turn tomatoes over.
Bake 3 hours longer, turning tomatoes each hour.
Minced fresh garlic
Minced fresh parsley

Layer tomatoes in 2 full-size hotel pans, sprinkling
garlic and parsley over each layer. Pour remaining oil
over top.
Let stand at room temperature 2 hours.
Portion immediately or cover with foil and chill.
Bring to room temperature before serving.
30 in Baguette, sliced into 5 in portions 8 Portion with 3/4 cup ladle into shallow serving bowl.
Serve with baguette piece on side.
MASHED POTATOES WITH SCALLIONS AND HORSERADISH_______________________________
Yield: 50 portions Portion: 1 cup
Ingredient Amount Procedure
Russet potatoes, peeled and chopped into 1
inch pieces
20 lbs Place potatoes in large stock pot with water to cover
by 1 inch.
Bring to boil over high heat, reduce heat to medium,
and simmer until potatoes are just tender (paring
knife can be slipped into and out of potato with very
little resistance), 20 to 30 minutes.
Drain the water. Place drained potatoes into bowl of
Hobart mixer.
Fresh horseradish, grated
Scallions, green parts only, minced
Prepared horseradish
Half-and-half, warm

Whisk horseradish and scallions into half-and-half.
Unsalted butter

Black pepper
2 1/2 lbs

1 1/2 tbsp
Mix butter, salt, and pepper into potatoes until just
incorporated.
Add half-and-half mixture to potatoes and mix until
combined and potato chunks are mashed.
Scoop 1 cup portions onto plate alongside prime rib
and steamed asparagus. Serve immediately.

Waitstaff 0.5 Hour Prepare sparkling cider, champagne and sparkling water.
Follow recipe: bake for ~1 1/2 hours, then allow to cool in oven for
~2 hours and place in airtight containers for next day.
Instructions
Follow recipe: bake for 3 hours (flipped every hour), then let stand
for 2 hours, cover and chill overnight.
Follow recipe: prepare meat and place in refrigerator, uncovered,
overnight.
Pull from refrigerater. Continue to follow recipe slice and serve
with horseradish mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus.
Follow recipe and allow to cool. Then, stack 1 1/2 cupcakes with
chocolate frosting to create individual mini cakes. Serve on dessert
plates.
Instructions
Follow recipe: cook beets for 1 hour or until soft and mix
vinaigrette. Refrigerate both seperately in airtight containers for
next day.
Substitute pre-made shredded chicken and pesto for this recipe.
Pull cooked beets and vinaigrette from refrigerator. Continue to
follow recipe and only toss mixture with dressing right before
serving.
Pull from refrigerator and bring to room temperature. Serve on
sliced baguettes.
Serve hot with prime rib
