1 Dear Jenny Hurst, Thank you for your Freedom of Information (FoI) request received on 8 th April 2015. You asked: The DWP is one of the government departments that is most relied upon by disabled people. But sometimes it feels like the government does not know the realities faced by disabled people 1. Does the government have partnerships / alliances with disabled person's organisations (in order to discuss new policies and understand the realities for disabled people)? 2. If so, could you give me a list of which organisations you work with / have alliances with. In response to the questions above, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) engages with a wide range of stakeholders on a regular basis, to help develop and deliver policies that affect disabled people. Identified in the Annex below are the stakeholder groups and their members who we have engaged with in the last twelve months. There will have been many further interactions with some of these and other stakeholders on an ad-hoc basis. However, it is not practicable for individual officials and policy teams to record each interaction. If you have any queries about this letter please contact me quoting the reference number above.
