Annabelle ManaloPh.D- Advisory
Dr. Annabelle Manalo is a cell and developmental biologist from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She has a background in neuroscience at Georgetown University and has recently studied genetic mutations that mimic the oset eects of chemotherapies on cardiotoxicity. Dr. Annabelle has a focus on clinical trials which encourage precision-based medicine through basic science application. During her studies in the new Cardio-Oncology industry, Dr. Annabelle gave birth to her son Macario. As a newborn baby, Macario suered from a stroke and uncontrollable seizures. Macario had 38% of his brain resected at 5 weeks old. As a concerned mother, Dr. Annabelle went against all odds and developed her son a cannabinoid product to replace all of his medications at 6 months old. Now, as a 3 year old boy, Macario has no developmental decits and is a healthy growing preschooler. Their journey towards recovery has lled Dr. Annabelle with a passion and commitment to the cannabis industry and more generally, a use of scientic knowledge as an application in a real time setting. Treating a person for a person.
Currently, Dr. Annabelle has an interest in cannabinoid therapeutic benets on specic conditions and disease. To further her mission to heal the world through cannabis, she consults for several governments and companies in regards to the legalization/standardization process and research protocols. Notably, she served as Scientic Director to Tikun Olam - a mission-driven organization at the forefront of global cannabis research, is on the advisory board of Quanta - a polarization based technology group, and her own company Masaya - focusing on scientically backed production and research. Dr. Annabelle will be launching her rst book by ForbesBooks entitled “Mighty Flower” in a mission to provide a reality of the current cannabis industry while identifying the scientic gaps. Dr. Annabelle hopes to use her story and scientic experience to promote utilizing the cannabis plant in a dened, therapeutic design.
