ANNs, Genetic algorithms and Fuzzy mathematics

We are interested in applying various approaches of soft and hard computing to pressing social, economic, medical and biological problems with team working both long-distance and on-site.

For people based in West Bengal, we are also interested in fundamentally improving ANNs and Genetic algorithms by taking inspiration from biological systems.

What can these approaches (+ graph theory and hybrid approaches) do for our interests?

• Can help with time-series analysis.• Look at the structure of network: important

nodes and edges and even help evolve a better network.

What kind of questions excite us?

• Financial analysis using time-series data. • Financial network analysis: whether euro-zone

or role of middle man in India. • Predicting epilepsy• Understanding and improving the power grid,

water redistribution, transport network and contiguity of forests.
