Makes use of 2D shapes to create the final 3D object.
Using combination of spline shapes and a spline path to
create the final complex objects.
The important term is cross-sectional shapes and a path.
Cross sectional shapes is used to define the perimeter shape of the exterior shell of the final 3D object.
Path is used to define the path the cross shape will travel.

Deformation is the process of applying modification to a
shape as its profile travels along the path.
5 types of deformation curves is:
1. Scale
2.Twist
3. Teeter
4. Bevel
5. Fit

Tutorial 1
2. Creating objects using lofting.
4. Modify objects that have been created using deformation
curves.

Exercise 1
2. Create an object as below.
Objects:
Square, width = 40
Helix, R1 = 75, R2 = 45 and height = 100.
3. Then apply lofting on your objects.
4. After that modify your objects using deformation curves
(scale = 100, twist = 300, and teeter = 100)
5. Render the objects you have created in .jpeg file format andshow them to your lecturer.

Make use of two original 3D objects to create the final
Boolean object.
The two original objects reffered to as Operands: Operand A
and Operand B.
Operand A is the first object that we select and its turn to thefinal boolean objects.
Boolean operations

2. Union
Creates an objects that contains the volume of both original
objects.
3. Substraction
Creates an objects that contains volume of the first object.
4. Intersection
Creates an object that contains only the volume that was
common between the two original intersection objects.

Exercise 2
2. Create an object by using Boolean operation (Union,
subtraction, intersection). You may use any size as long as
the shape you used same as on figure below.
9. Render the objects that you have created in .jpeg file format
and show them to your lecturer.

Conclusion There are two common tools in Compound objects that can
be used to create 3D objects that is Loft and Boolean
operations.
Lofting objects can be modified by using deformation curveswhich have function such as scale, twist, teeter, bevel an fit.
While, in Boolean operation, there are three types of
operation can be apply on two objects to create new 3Dobject that is union, subtraction and intersection.
