2. Questionnair e 3. After the responses I received this showed me that the genre was easily identified as an animation. All 4 people selected animation. Quantitative data responses 4. This shows its was clear that there was an arts an crafts theme. 5. Is the content suitable to the age range 4-10? If no explain why. 100% Yes All of the responses I received back where a yes this shows that the contents of my animation ident was suitable for my chosen age range. 6. Does this stop motion animation appeal to the age range 4-10? 100% Yes The next question I asked was whether my animation actually appealed to my target audience. All 4 people I asked responded saying yes. This shows me that it was suitable as well as appealing to a younger target audience. 7. Is there a clear narrative within the stop motion animation? 75% 25% Yes No From the responses I received back this showed me that the majority of my focus group thought there was a clear narrative and only a minority thought it was unclear. 8. Qualitative Response Response - I enjoyed the different colours that targeted at different genders. 9. Stop Motion Animation feedback Summary I asked my 4 candidates what genre the channel ident was i got mixed responses. However all 4 of my candidates said it was defiantly animation amongst other genres. I asked my 4 candidates this questions (Is my ident using the correct codes and conventions genre of the arts and crafts genre?) 100% responded saying I was using the right material for it to be arts and crafts related. I asked my 4 candidates whether the content was suitable for the age range 4-10. 100% replied yes to it being suitable. Therefore I didn't have to change anything as it was easily identified for kids. I also asked if the content appealed to the target audience. Again 100% answered yes. However, next time to improve I will ask kids between the ages of 4-10 (The target audience themselves). The reason I would do this is to get solid evidence that both adults and kids recognise that its for a young age range and whether it actually appeals. I asked my 4 candidates whether there was a clear narrative throughout the duration of the stop motion. I received back mixed responses from this as the majority thought it was clear and the minority thought it was unclear. To improve on this responses I will take time out to ask more people and ensure there is a mix in age ranges. The overall strengths of my stop motion animation that I gathered from my feedback is that it was easily identified as a kids animation. However, some of the things i could improve on where asking both a young target audience and more people in the older target audience group.
