Dear all, I am very proud to introduce the new collection “The Series”. It was not so long ago since we have launched the first eBook, including the photo-graphic work of the 10 administrators, who at that time were cooperating in the “WePhoto” group. Sin-ce then, we have published 21 eBooks and the Spe-cial edition “Calendar 2015” and now two Calen-dars 2016.

This new collection – The Series - is made of diffe-rent eBooks, each one (or more than one if requi-red) related to a specific photographic theme, in-cluding the artworks of several authors from Italy and abroad. This is the Third eBook of the Fifth li-ne of this new collection and has been dedicated to Animals Photography.

Con il terzo volume di questa nuova line ci troviamo immersi in questo mon-do FANTASTICO. Un mondo nel quale siamo nati ma di cui, ormai, sappiamo pochissimo.

Animali: Un mondo di colori ed emozioni, raccontato in modo INCREDIBILE dagli Autori che qui presentiamo, a cui mando un segno della mia Stima e dei miei ringraziamenti.

For 10 years I first got acquainted with scubadiving and I

was immediately sold . It turned out to be my 1st pas-

sion. But it appeared to be very difficult to explain what it

was like 15 mtrs below sealevel. Therefore I bought a ca-

mera and underwaterhousing to show it. And I’m still

using it today.

6 years ago, we were planning our first trip to Afrika, and

it got to me; I wanted nice, no …. great pictures to bring

home. That was the beginning of my 2nd and 3rd pas-

sion; Africa and photography.

The most important to me is not to disturb animals in

their activities. I always try to show them ‘doing their

thing’ in a natural enviroment.

I’m still a amateur, but fortunately it is possible to combi-

ne my passions on a regular basis.

ROCCO PISCIONERIBusto Arsizio, Italy

Nato a Legnano (Milano, Italia) nel 1974 e vive a Busto Arsi-zio, Rocco è un fotografo naturalistico che s’impegna profon-damente per portare la sua visione “unica” di vita ogni volta che solleva la macchina fotografica al suo occhio ispirato. Ha scattato fotografie fin dall'infanzia. Rocco fa parte di un gruppo di fotografi che si uniscono a lui nelle spedizioni in paludi, boschi e riserve naturali. Gli piace condividere la sua visione e la conoscenza con altri appassionati di fotografia.Il suo lavoro comporta, quindi, stretto contatto con animali nel loro ambiente e il loro studio. La fotografia significa cat-turare il momento in una frazione di secondo fugace e cattu-rarne così anche l’espressione. Rocco è riuscito a racchiude-re entrambi questi punti nelle sue immagini, siano esse di natura o di fauna selvatica. Gli piace catturare il movimento, il momentaneo contatto visivo con un animale o un uccello, la luce negli occhi e le sue movenze.Di conseguenza l’obiettivo di Rocco è catturare la bellezza, il fascino e l'espressione aggraziata a ogni immagine. Spera che il suo contributo ispirerà altre persone ad avvicinarsi al mondo naturalistico.

Born in Legnano (Milano, Italy) in 1974 and lives in Bu-

sto Arsizio, Rocco is a wildlife photographer with a deep

commitment to bringing his unique vision to life whene-

ver he lifts a camera to his inspired eye. He has been ta-

king pictures ever since childhood. Rocco is a member

of a team of photographers, together they take part to

expeditions in swamps, woods and natural reserves. He

really enjoys sharing his vision and knowledge with ot-

her passionate photographers. His work therefore invol-

ves tight close-ups as well as a study of animals in their

environment. Photography is about capturing the mo-

ment in a fleeting fraction of a second and capturing the

expression too. Rocco has managed to encapsulate both

of these into his pictures of nature and wildlife. He tries

to capture in an image the emotions he felt at the mo-

ment he tripped the camera’s shutter. Hence, Rocco

aims to capture beauty, fascination and graceful expres-

sion with each image. He hopes that his own contribu-

tion will inspire others to do the same.

My name is Andreas Romijn, I'm 39 years old and live in the Netherlands.When I got my first puppy five years ago I decided to get a camera.

My first camera was the EOS 550D with a kit lens.

And since my enthusiasm for photography grew, I inve-

sted in a better camera and better lenses. Today I take

pictures with a EOS 5D Mark 3. I do most of my work in

the studio with a black background, my specialty is

"Black on Black".

For lighting, I like working with a beauty dish and strip

light because that really brings out the color and structu-

re of the dog's fur. Making dog portraits is my passion

and I always try to create captivating images.

For me the dogs really are "models" and I photograph

them as such.

Dogs have a personality and that's what I want to portray

in my pictures.

I want to thank the team of WePhoto for giving me this

opportunity to share my pictures with others!

Mi chiamo Rocco Sette, nato il 27.5.1963 e cresciuto a Zurigo. Fin dall’infanzia mi sono innamorato per il Wildlife. Dopo il mio primo viaggio in Kenya nel 1986 vi ritorno regolarmente e vi anche vissuto per diversi anni a Nairobi. Masai Mara, Samburu e Lake Nakuru sono i miei parchi nazionali preferiti. Infatti, sono già diversi anni che organizzo Safari per gli appassionati di Wildlife e fotografia. Vorrei precisare che per me non è importante la bellezza della foto-grafia, ma la bellezza dell`animale stesso. Sono loro che attraver-so la mia fotografia danno emozioni e ricchezza d’animo. Uno dei momenti più importanti della mia carriera da fotografo e stata la nomina da finalista della pagina digitale National Geographic 2010/11, nominato come unico fotografo con due foto su tre, tra le ultime sedici di oltre 57`000 mila inviate da tutto il mondo. Un gran-de riconoscimento che ha ripagato tutti i miei innumerevoli sforzi professionali. Con le mie foto spero di arrivare nel cuore delle per-sone, anche quelle che non possono per vari motivi avere la fortu-na di vivere queste esperienze meravigliose: voglio immergerli in questo mondo fantastico .Vorrei anche raggiungere i cuori e le co-scienze dei bracconieri e dei governi corrotti, per fargli capire co-sa stanno distruggendo con la loro fame di soldi! Voglio ringraziare tutti quelli che s’impegnano senza alcun profitto. Gente che da ani-ma e cuore per il Wildlife. E voglio ringraziare anche tutti quelli che non puntano un fucile, ma un obiettivo da 600 mm per regalarci scatti unici e indimenticabili!

He has worked as an independent professional photo-grapher for more than 20 years and keeps participating in seminars concerning photography up to this day. Ever since his childhood nature and photography were a central part in his life. At the age of 14 his father, Vincenzo Sette, gave him his first camera. His love for nature and travelling combined with the creativity in his work behind a camera made him the artist he is today. These last few years he specialized in animal photography and now works manly as an animal pho-tographer, both wild beasts and domesticated animals such as dogs, cats and horses. The main focus in his photograph-ic work is the wild animals in the African Savanna. With his camera he tries to catch the animal’s natural behavior in their habitat with great respect toward animal and nature. Almost like under a spell his journeys keep bringing him back to the wild animal resorts of East-Africa. Ever since he first put foot on that ground he knew that it is not only photo-graphing and filming, but much more and more important, the material becomes messenger to the people to protect and preserve these few remaining “paradises”. This very im-portant issue he emphasizes several times a year by slice and film presentations.

I was born in Albenga in April 6, 1971 and i live in Garlen-

da (Sv).

I always like the contact with the natural life, explore the

mountains and watch the animals. Since 2007 i am a

member of the Italian Alpine Club (C.A.I.) section of Al-

benga.

I am fond of hiking, drawing, painting and photography,

in particularly the nature photography.

I approached the nature photography in 2012, to immor-

talize the emotional moments with wildlife which ot-

herwise could vanish.

Sono nato ad Albenga (Sv) il 06 aprile 1971 e vivo in una

piccola borgata del Comune di Garlenda (Sv).

Da sempre, amo il contatto con l'ambiente naturale,

esplorare le montagne ed osservare gli animali. Dal

2007 sono socio del Club Alpino Italiano (C.A.I.) sezione

di Albenga.

Sono appassionato di escursionismo, disegno, pittura e

fotografia, in particolare della fotografia naturalistica.

Mi sono avvicinato alla fotografia naturalistica nel 2012,

quando ho sentito la necessità di immortalare i momenti

emozionanti vissuti durante gli incontri con la fauna sel-

vatica, che, altrimenti, resterebbero soltanto un ricordo

destinato a svanire.
