worshipped as gods. Cats have never

forgotten this

Why should man expect his prayer for mercy to be

heard by What is above him if he

shows no mercy to what is under him?

One reason a dog can be such a comfort when you're feeling blue is that he doesn't try to find out why

God made life simple.  It is man who complicates it. 

A lady came up to me on the street and pointed at my suede jacket. "You know a cow was murdered for that jacket?" she sneered. I replied in a psychotic tone, "I didn't know there were any witnesses. Now I'll have to kill you too."

The old Indian was wise.  He knew that lack of respect for growing, living things soon led to lack of respect for humans too

Ironically, rural America has become viewed by a growing number of Americans as having a higher [quality of life] not because of what it has, but rather because of what it does not have!

We have been god-like in the planned breeding of our domesticated plants,

but rabbit-like in the unplanned breeding of

ourselves

The days a man spends in nature fishing or spends

hunting should not be deducted from

the time that he's on earth

If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you; that is the principal difference between a dog and a man

Society must hope that the world's ability to assess and manage risks will keep pace with its ability to create them

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow me
