CARNIVOROUS ANIMALSCARNIVOROUS ANIMALS
Some animals eat other animals. They are carnivores. Eagles, penguins, tigers or lions are carnivores.
HERBIVOROUS ANIMALSHERBIVOROUS ANIMALS
Other animals only eat plants. They are herbivores. Geese, robins, horses or sheep are herbivores.
OMNIVOROUS ANIMALSOMNIVOROUS ANIMALS
But, there are some animals that eat both plants and animals. They are called omnivores. Humans, hens, foxes and bears are omnivores.

INSECTSINSECTSInsects are oviparous. They are invertebrate animals
because they don’t have a backbone.
They have six legs, two antennae and some have wings.
Mammals are animals with a backbone inside their bodies – they are vertebrates.
They are called mammals because they feed their babies milk.
They breathe air with their lungs.
They are born from their mother’s bodies. We say that they are viviparous.
Most mammals have fur on their bodies.
Most of them have four feet to walk, but whales and dolphins swim with their fins and bats fly with their wings.
Some examples of mammals are:
