Peep among bushes and through tree branches Woodpecker hole Made by woodpeckers drilling with their beaks Mole hills Piles of soil pushed up out of the ground Squirrel drey A football-sized nest, often built with twigs and leaves and nestled next to a tree trunk Tree hollow Tucked into tree trunks, they’re often home to tawny owls and little owls Bat roost Look out for the tell-tale black streak beneath holes in tree trunks.
