• Then threw the animal in a garbage can

• Also suspected of shooting dogs with a BB gun the previous year

Proposal

• My proposal is to implement the magazine Kind News from the Humane Society of the United States

• The Humane Society is an animal protection organization• Leading animal advocacy organization

• Provide care to over 100,000 animals each year

• Established since 1955

• Kinds News is a magazine for elementary school students in K-6

• Offers three different reading levels: Primary, Junior, and Senior

• Only eight pages

• Follows the National Education Standards

• Easy to implement in class setting

• Classroom set comes with 29 copies and a teachers guide

• Bi-monthly

• Fundraising Idea: School Sleepover for Fourth graders and above

• Requirements:

• Sleeping bag

• Pajamas

• Toothbrush

• Toothpaste

• Teachers would create activities for students

How much money can we earn

• Classroom set costs $30

• Charge: $15

• Burbank Elementary needs: $780

• Teacher Student ratio for Burbank Elementary is 23:1

• There are seven classrooms and if each student went to the sleepover $2,415 can be made.

• $1,635 would remain• Reimburse teachers that paid for equipment

• Rest split evenly between teachers
