Objective Exploring more challenging opportunities that helps me to apply my creativity and programming skills and thus achieve technical expertise.

Professional ExperienceWorking as a Project Engineer in GIT-Inc, Bangalore since December 2004.

Professional Summary Having 1+ years of experience in developing and implementing network protocols like SIP, SRTP etc.Attained good knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suit, socket programming.Strong exposure to Linux Internals, IPC and socket programming.Ability to work in groups as well as independently.

Professional Projects Undertaken

Project 1:Title : Session Initiation Protocol (SIP).Environment : C on VxWorks.Duration : July 2005- Present.

Description: SIP is an application-layer control protocol that can establish, modify and

terminate multimedia sessions (conferences) such as Internet Telephony calls. SIP can also invite participants to already existing sessions, such as multicast conferences. Media can be added to and removed from an existing session. SIP transparently supports name mapping and redirection services, which supports personal mobility-users can maintain a single externally visible identifier regardless of their network location. SIP is rather a component that can be used with other IETF protocols to build complete multimedia architecture.Roles and Responsibilities:

Involved in the coding in transaction layer according to client requirement specification. Involved in Unit testing.

Project 2:Title : Secure Real Time Transfer Protocol (SRTP).Environment : C on VxWorks.Duration : Feb 2005- June 2005.

Page 2: anilcvn

Description: SRTP provides framework for encryption and message authentication of RTP and

RTCP streams. SRTP defines a set of default cryptographic transforms and it always allows new transforms to be introduced in the future. With appropriate key management, SRTP is secure for unicast and multicast RTP applications. SRTP provides high throughput and low packet expansion. SRTP provides suitable protection for a heterogeneous environment. It provides confidentiality, message authentication and replay protection to the RTP traffic.Roles and Responsibilities:

Involved in the design and coding of the module according to the client requirement specification.

Skill SetsProgramming Languages : C, C++.Assembly level languages : 8085, 8086 and 8051 Microcontrollers.HDL : VHDL.Operating systems : Linux, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003.RTOS : Vx Works.Other tools : Mat lab, Code Composer Studio, Xilinx.

Academic Projects

( a) Name : Channel Decoder for a Mobile Communication `System based on TETRA .

Modules : 8. Duration : 6 months. Software’s used : Code Composer Studio IDE(Version 2), C language

Synopsis for the project : The aim of this work was to develop a Channel Decoder, which fits in the

receiver side DSP in a mobile communication system, which conforms to the TErrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) standard. The Channel Decoding algorithm was developed in Texas Instrument’s Code Composer Studio Developer Environment using the C language. Then it was simulated and tested in Texas Instrument’s TMS320 C54x DSP platform. Later the algorithm was converted into the C55x DSP platform.

My Role :This project was carried out as part of my M.Tech program at the

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing(CDAC) Thiruvananthapuram,Kerala. The entire work has been done individually by me.

(b). Name : Micro controller Based Radar Data Acquisition and Display System Team Sizen : 4.

Modules : 2. Duration : 5 months. Software’s used : Assembly Language Program.

Synopsis for the project : This project is an attempt to acquire the data, range, azimuth and elevation

from a radar system using a 8051 micro Controller and transmit the acquired data using RS-232 link through the serial port of the micro Controller and then display them on a CT-4000 Terminal.

My Role : This project was done at the VIKRAM SARABHAI SPACE CENTRE, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM. This project was done as a part of my engineering curriculum and I was involved in each part of its work.

(c) Name : I.E.E.P( Intelligent EPROM Eraser &Programmer) Team Size : 4

Modules : 2 Duration : 3 months.

Softwares used : C++, Visual Basic

Synopsis for the project : The aim of this project is to construct a stand-alone device, which can be

used for the dual purpose of programming and erasing an EPROM. The project consists mainly of two circuits, the eraser circuit and the programmer circuit and a software program to stimulate this circuit. In the programming part, the circuit for applying the programming pulse is stimulated by a program written in C++. All communication between the P.C and the hardware circuit takes place through the bi-directional printer port, which is programmed to function as an EPP. In the Eraser part, the circuit is designed so that the EPROM is exposed to UV light just enough to completely erase it. Thus the exposure period of UV rays for erasing the EPROM can be reduced and it is very safe also.

I hereby confirm that the above-furnished information’s are true to the best of my knowledge.
