A charming and beautiful venue, located in the picturesque town of Blairgowrie which is ideally situated for

your guests being only 30 minutes from both Perth and Dundee.

The Angus Hotel and Wedding Rooms are located in the town centre by the Wellmeadow Gardens and by

the banks of the river Ericht – The perfect backdrop for your wedding pictures – and includes a range of

beautiful function rooms for your wedding ceremony and reception.

We sit down with you to discuss exactly what you require and, from these discussions, ensure that everybody

knows who is doing what and when. You also receive a copy to ensure that you are fully informed

and always in control.

At The Angus Hotel you will always find a member of our team on hand to answer your queries, offer advice

and help in any way that we can. We always take the trouble to ensure that everything goes smoothly so that

you can relax and enjoy the whole of your day.

We have a number of stunning reception rooms that are licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies and,

depending on the size of your wedding party, you can choose to hold your ceremony in the Meikle Room,

the Oakbank Room or the Strathmore Suite.

Your Wedding Day at The Angus Hotel

The gardens of the nearby river Ericht make a truly wonderful setting for your wedding photographs and,

while you are busy with the photographer, your guests will be relaxing and enjoying arrival drinks in one of

the hotel’s reception rooms or outside in the courtyard garden.

We provide a Master of Ceremonies who will announce the wedding breakfast and accompany you and your

guests to the function room. Everything else is just as you wish – you decide where and how you would like to

greet your guests; you decide where and when to cut your cake you decide how and when your speeches will

take place. Be assured, the whole day will be arranged exactly the way you want.

For your reception and wedding meal the Meikle and/or Oakbank Rooms, or the Strathmore Suite are

available with seating from 30 to 160 people for the meal. For your Evening Reception various options are

available with the Strathmore Suite being suitable for a large scale traditional Ceilidh or dance. Should you

wish, we offer a selection of buffet menus and drinks for your evening guests.

Your Wedding Ceremony

The Strathmore Suite

Our beautiful function suite is a stunning setting for your wedding breakfast and can accommodate 160

people and an extra 40 for the evening reception. There is a large dance floor and a private bar and patio

area. There is no room hire charge for the use of the room when numbers for your meal are over 70.

The Meikle Room

Ideal for a small intimate wedding breakfast of up to 30. The room is also a perfect setting for a wedding

Ceremony. Recently refurbished, the Meikle Room is often used in conjunction with the Oakbank Room.

The Oakbank Room

Ideal for a wedding breakfast of up to 40. The room is also a perfect setting for a wedding Ceremony.

Special Offer: Bridal couples having their wedding reception with us can enjoy complimentary overnight accommodation with

breakfast (when booking over 70 guests at your meal). Guests can also enjoy a special bed and breakfast rate when booking a

room as part of a wedding party. All accommodation reserved for the bridal party must be confirmed at least three months

prior to the wedding and paid at time of booking to guarantee this rate.

Terms & Conditions MAKING YOUR BOOKING 1.Provisional You can pencil in your preferred date which we shall hold for 14 days. You are under no obligation and this gives you the oppor-tunity to co-ordinate the arrangements you need to make 2.Confirmation To confirm your booking we ask you to send a non-refundable deposit of £500. A further non-refundable deposit of £500 is re-quired 6 months prior to the date. 3.Cancellations In the event of cancellation the following will apply. Cancellation of more than 6 months prior to the date will be loss of deposits only. Cancellation within 3-6 months prior to the date will incur a charge of 50% of budget costs based on advised numbers at the time of booking. Cancellation within 1-3 months prior to the date will incur a charge of 75% of budget costs based on advised numbers at the time of booking. Cancellation within 1 month prior will incur a charge of 100% of budget costs based on advised numbers at the time of booking. 4.Numbers to be Charged Provisional numbers will be required at the time of booking. The hotel reserves the right to set minimum numbers and these will be detailed to you at the time of booking. Final numbers are to be notified to the hotel no later than 5 weeks prior to the wedding. Should numbers decrease after you have given us final numbers the hotel reserves the right to charge for these guests. ACCOMMODATION BOOKED WITH WEDDINGS Any accommodation bookings made for your wedding guests (with the exception of the Bridal Suite) are separate from your event booking. The hotel will ask for individual guest deposits at the time the book accommodation. If you reserve a block of rooms (maximum 10), please release any rooms back to us if you no longer require them at least one month prior to the wedding date or a charge will be applied.

Terms & Conditions

MISCELLANEOUS 1. The hotel may cancel the booking if:-

The hotel or any part of it is closed due to fire, flood, dispute with employees, alteration and decoration or by order of Public Authority.

The customer becomes insolvent or enters into liquidation or receivership.

The customer is more than 32 days in arrears with payment to the hotel of previously supplied services.

It might prejudice the reputation of the hotel. 2. The hotel has the right to our book any event/accommodation to another local establishment of similar or better standard. The hotel must inform the client of this in writing at least two weeks in advance of the event. 3. The customer assumes responsibility for any damage caused, whether in rooms reserved or in any part of the hotel.

4. Any advice given by the hotel regarding other wedding businesses e.g. bands, discos, florists, etc. is purely to assist in your planning.
