Coaching Boys Into Men Train the Trainer Training March 2015 Futures Without Violence/NYS Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Batavia, NY Coaching Boys Into Men (CBIM) equips coaches to talk with athletes about respect for women and girls and promotes the notion that violence doesn't equal strength. CBIM can be used with middle & high school age athletes to positively influence how young men think and act with regard to masculinity, dating & violence. Program Facilitator, Alternatives/Steps, November 2014-May 2015 Vera House, Inc, Syracuse, NY Alternatives/Steps is a batterer’s intervention program coordinated through the community domestic and sexual violence agency, Vera House, Inc. Alternatives is the men’s program, Steps is the women's program. The 15 week long program involves planned facilitation of dialogues with court mandated, and/or self referred men and women. Consultant, Masculinity and Violence Prevention, November 2014-May 2015 Fraternity and Sorority Affairs Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY Developed and facilitated a 1-hour masculinity and violence prevention workshop for IFC fraternities. The goal of the program is to engage fraternity men in conversations about healthy masculinity and their role in ending gender-based violence. In addition, a 5-week curriculum has been developed and facilitated for fraternity men. Sexual Assault Volunteer Advocate, October 2014-May 2015 Vera House, Inc, Syracuse, NY Completed 40-hour, NYS Dept. of Health Certified, Rape Crisis Counselor training. Advocates respond to local emergency rooms to support victims of a recent sexual assault, and to provide non-judgmental support and information during this time of crisis. Advocates are present during the medical exam and evidence collection process, and help the patient keep track of medications,

The MVP curriculum is broken into four educational units:  battery, gender roles, alcohol and consent, and sexual harassment. In the final year, I acted as the head of the RA staff in the building, along with the associated responsibilities of a resident advisor.
