person is its foot or in an upright position. • Example: My brother fell over and

broke his arm.

6. Give up• It is to stop doing something

like a job or something the person does regularly. • Example: Maria gave up work

to take care of her children.

7. Look up somebody• To locate and visit somebody the person hasn’t seen in a long time.• Example: My friends were on holiday in my city so they looked me up and visited

me. 8. Move out• To leave a place where you lived or worked and take with you all your

possessions and furniture. • Example: Tom moved out last week.

9. Save up • It’s to keep money in order to

buy something in the future with it. • Example: They bought that

house with the money they saved up.

10. Wash up• To wash something up is to clean

the dishes and cutlery you have used for cooking. • Example: I have to wash up the

dishes on Fridays but I hate it.

My name is Angie Cristina Escobar, I´m 33 years old and I live in Cimitarra, Santander. I study psychology at UNAD, my hobbies are listening to music and going out for a walk in the afternoons. My expectations from the course are having a higher English learning as well as interacting with the tutor and classmates, acquiring the ability to communicate through the English language

MY FUTURE PLANSMy family With my current partner we’re planning to get married, maybe at the beginning of 2017. The ceremony will be held on a plot on the shores of Cimitarra. Another plan is the possibility of starting a business that allows us to generate income for the support of the family and we’re also planning to arrange the second floor of our house, with the purpose of putting it in rent so we can save up for later to buy a house in a strategic site of the municipality and use it to lease premises

MY FUTURE PLANSWorkSince I am in eighth semester of psychology I want to venture into social work to gain experience and necessary skills. My plan is linking up to a foundation that caters young drug addicts. Also having a fast food business in the evening hours so I can afford the expenses in the house.

MY FUTURE PLANSHealthI’m carrying out an exercise routine and daily walks taking advantage of the fact that there is a park near my house. I’m planning to change my diet and consume larger portions of fruits and more water in order to lose weight and regulate high blood pressure problems. I’m having some revisions in my circulatory system and in my eyes since I present problems of redness that is affecting my performance in Reading besides producing headaches and discomforts.

MY FUTURE PLANSHolidaysI’m looking forward to make a trip to Cartagena at the end of this year with my family, also visiting my mother and brothers. For this we will be going to Paratebueno in Cundinamarca. We are also planning to visit Medellin to enjoy the cumulus of colors and beauty of Christmas decoration and lighting in there.
