ANGELS

Who are Angels?

What is their purpose?

Where do they come from?

1-A ANGELS

Who do Angels serve?

Hebrews 1:13,14

But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”?

Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who inherit salvation?

1-A ANGELS

Angels are ministering spirits sent forth by the Lord to minister to every person who trusts in the Lord and serves Him.

2-A ANGELS

Are Angels the spirits of the departed dead?

Genesis 3:24 So He drove out the man; and He

placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of lifetree of life.

2-A ANGELS Angels could not be spirits of the departed

dead, because they were in existence BEFORE the first man died. Adam was made a little lower than the angels. Psalms 8:4,5

What is man that You art mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?

For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And have crowned him with glory and honor.

3-A ANGELS

Were Angels created?

Ezekiel 28:14,15

You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of stones of fire.

15- You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.

Lucifer (Isaiah 14:12), one of the highest angels was CREATED. As with him, so with all the rest of the angels. They are created beings.

The Angels were created by the Son of God BEFORE He made Adam and this world. Colossians 1:15-17.

4-A ANGELS

Are Angels phantoms or ghosts without form?

Ezekiel 10:12

And their whole body, with their back, their hands, their wings, and the wheels that the four had, were full of eyes all around.

Angels are real beings with spiritual bodies of a spiritual flesh.

I Corinthians 15:44

It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Angels appeared to Abraham and Lot as real beings. (Genesis 18:1-8 & 19:1-3)

Genesis 19:1

Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground.

4-A ANGELS

Angels eat.

Psalms 78:24,25

Had rained down manna on them to eat, And given them of the bread of heavenbread of heaven.

Man ate angel’s food; He sent them food to the full.

4-A ANGELS Angels talk.

Acts 1:9-11

Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

10- And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,

11- who also said, Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same JesusJesus, who was taken up from you into heavenheaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heavenheaven.

At the last day when Jesus comes, our natural bodies are changed to glorious spiritual bodies, Phil. 3:20,21; I Cor. 15:44; then we will be equal to the angels, Luke 20:35,36.

36- Nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

5-A ANGELS

How many Angels are there?

Revelation 5:11

Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,

There are many more angels in God’s universe than there are people on earth.

Hebrews 12:22

But you have come to mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels.

6-A ANGELS

Do we have an Angel assigned to us?

Matthew 18:10

Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the always see the face of My Father who is in heavenface of My Father who is in heaven.

In speaking of the Father’s watch care over His children, Jesus mentions ”their angels”, showing that to every child of God an angel is assigned. Among those countless billions of angels, there is one assigned to watch over you day and night.

7-A ANGELS Does your Angel help you?

Psalms 91:11,12

For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.

12- In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

Angels will help you on your journey to heaven.

8-A ANGELS

There is a promise of help when we obey.

Psalms 34:7

The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.

9-A ANGELS When will all the Angels come to

earth?

Matthew 25:31

When the Son of man comes in His Son of man comes in His gloryglory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His then He will sit on the throne of His gloryglory.

All the holy angels will come to earth when Jesus comes in His glory.

9-A ANGELS

Angels will help you to be ready for that great day when Jesus returns.

Don’t you think it is wonderful that God has given us our very own Angel to help us be ready?
