NIDA trained, she has played for some of the most famous theatre institutions across Australia, starred in such prolific Australian films as ʻThe Dishʼ and ʻTravelling Northʼ and beyond her numerous TV credits on some of the countryʼs highest rating series, she has also done a 3-year stint as Actors Coach on ʻHome and Awayʼ. Over an incredible 8 week program actors will focus on a particular tool or skill in relation to technique, addressing on the principals of ʻmoment to momentʼ work, circles of attention, obligatory moment, realism vs naturalism on screen, Meisner Workout, aesthetics techniques, observations and adjustments, rehearsal principals character backstory, turning psychology into behaviour and so much more! Starting mid April 2014, a course not to be missed! We are delighted to announce the return of this 5 day intensive workshop with award-winning director Rob Marchand. Robert is the countryʼs leading authority on Mike Leighʼs famous process which empowers actors and directors everywhere. The workshop is a practical investigation of techniques used by Leigh where participants will be involved in the improvisation processes from the inside, acquiring direct, first hand knowledge by taking part in progressive character and scene building exercises. This is unique and very powerful learning for any actor or director. Mike Leigh Workshop is an exciting & refreshing way to create drama, it also has benefits for actors and directors across all aspects of film-making. DATE: 9th - 13th May 2014 This one-day workshop is a must for actors, models and teens who want to start landing auditions and not just going through the auditioning process. Working on a variety of film and TV scripts, youʼll discover the skills necessary to do a winning screen-test, every time. Available for both beginners and advanced, this is an invaluable opportunity to work up close and personal with one of Australiaʼs leading Casting Directors. We will cover: approaching script & what to do with it; what creates a credible & engaging character for screen; mastering subtext and inventiveness; professional presentation in the audition room; transferring nerves into energy, demystifying the audition process, gaining greater opportunities for landing auditions and roles; constructive critical feedback direct from a Casting Director on your performance.
