Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the key objective is to support the execution of an effective PR strategy and a comprehensive annual activities schedule. The purpose of this is to distinguish Hays from its competitors in the marketplace and promote the company brand within the Irish media. Core Competencies Ideally with degree level education or equivalent and preferably in a PR/Marketing or Communications discipline First class writing skills with excellent use of grammar Experience of writing press releases a distinct advantage First-class people skills: ability to develop good working relationships with editors, journalists, external suppliers and internal consultants alike Attention to detail is absolutely crucial Ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines Energetic and enthusiastic self-starter with creative flair IT literate in core MS Office packages What you will be trained in How to develop and maintain good relationships with editors and journalists, How to monitor the national, local and trade press How to distribute press releases offline and online How to analyse PR success How to research and write regular careers and industry-based columns to be distributed to the media and uploaded on to Hays.ie How to work with internal consultants, managers and regional directors to research editorial material How to manage and promote a wide range of events both internally and externally, directing external suppliers when necessary.
