• Andy Warhol was born in a little town called Forest City in Pittsburg , Pennsylvania.

• He was born in the year 1928.• He claimed that his 1930 birth certificate had

been forged and June 6,1928 is the date most frequently taken as his birthday.

Becoming an artist

• Andy Warhol was 21 when he became an artist .

• He practiced in school by painting and drawing.

• Then after high school he studied commercial art at the Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburg.

• He graduated in 1949 and moved to New York, where he worked as an illustrator in magazines .

• He then became the most sought out artist in New York.

POPular Art work Andy Warhol is most famous for using popular images in his artwork. Campbell's soup cans, dollar signs , and celebrities were repeated in different colors .These images were first printed and then painted over by Warhol.
