Technical Specifications and Fees

Presenter
Presentation Notes
There was a multi level strategy used to update the technical specifications. Other states services were reviewed Surveys were sent to providers Discussions took place with DVR leaders, staff, service providers, stakeholders Feedback was collected from service providers and staff since the old tech specs were issued 2 years ago. Workgroups met, reviewed the old tech specs, identified and drafted changes The changes were reviewed by many groups and finalized. Budget considerations were reviewed and fee changes were identified. The drafts were edited and added to the DVR webpages.

Presenter
Presentation Notes
Stefanie was referred to DVR by her high school teacher, to the DVR assigned to the High School. Now her case is open, and she is ready to begin working with a service provider. Stefanie’s counselor invites the provider to a meeting at her school with Stefanie, her teacher, parents present. After meeting at school, the provider meets with Stefanie at her home to learn more about her, and twice more at school to work on a sample application and practice interviewing The provider then completes the first portion of the Job Development Plan and Monthly update and sends it to the Transition counselor. The transition counselor decides whether to hold a final meeting in person or if verifying agreement by phone or email is ok

Fiscal Considerations

Service PO Lines Timeframe Update Timeframe

SWB Readiness PlanSWB Learning Dev

2 6 months Additional 6 monthsNew PO after 12 months

SWBL Retention 3 1 month per line, 3 months typically authorized

*PO for retention must be created within 10 days of hire notice

Presenter
Presentation Notes
The SWBL Plan and SWB Learning Development should be authorized on one PO using two lines and for a period not to exceed six months. The PO may be extended for an additional six-month period if necessary and appropriate and progress continues. An Authorization Update is needed. These POs must be cancelled and recreated after the initial 12 months of activity if necessary and appropriate and progress continues. Include the old PO number in the comment of the new PO. When the consumer has been hired DVR should be notified within 5 days of the hire offer. The Job Retention PO should be developed within 10 days of the notice that the consumer has been hired, accepted the job offer and everyone agrees to the position. It is recommended that the full amount be authorized. The month of support will be reported and invoiced monthly so a separate line is needed for each month of support provided. If more than 3 months is requested consult with VRC. The provider cannot invoice for the retention payment until the consumer has been working for a minimum of 90 days.
