All mho liare yitnessed the games for the pas4 few weeks could not f&l to notice the improvement which our team has made since the opening of the season. The team has showed a marked advancement in general dis- cipline and has made a creditable record in fielding and at the ba8, al- though much practice is still heeded in the latter. However, now is just the crisis when, unless the greatest care and precaution is taken, the men mill become over-confident, and mill rely upon the record which they hape made dreaay to play the remaining gameB, which nre by far tlie most-im- portant ones of the season. Ex- perience has taught countless teams of all athletic sports that this is the most demoralizhg characteristic which a team can have.
